We stayed a week in room 916 which was very good. The pool area was Excellant with great access to the beach. Sea was warm and very welcoming. Annai in the breakfast room was very warm and welcoming and looked after us most days. Viviene the Concierge was Excellant and Carlos, they sorted very good Reataurants every night 2 of the at the hotel (Japanese and Mexican) The standards were excellent at the hotel with every request handled with professionalism. Overall an excellent visit and we will stay here at Mondrian next time we come.

Fantastisch personeel, heel vriendelijk, service gericht en gewoon ook leuke mensen. Prachtige locatie en Mondrian bedjes bij zwembad zijn inclusief (in tegenstelling tot dat wat soms in de reviews wordt gezegd). Openbare ruimtes als toiletten hebben even wat liefde qua onderhoud nodig. Te veel dingen die stuk zijn, niet werken, of deuren die niet goed sluiten. Oa toiletten bij receptie en ontbijtruimte. Dat is niet 5 sterren waardig.

We arrived at the Mondrian after a wonderful 6-day stay at Oku Hotel in Cala Gració, with high expectations from the social media buzz and website presentation. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the 5-star rating the hotel claims. Rooms The rooms themselves are modern, stylish, and up to 5-star standard. Sadly, this level of quality does not extend to the rest of the property. Shared Property Setup The Mondrian and Hyde hotels share the same pool areas, which creates confusion and overcrowding. The setup feels chaotic and unrefined. For example, I witnessed guests smoking on sunbeds, leaving ash all over them—something I wouldn’t expect in a luxury property. The layout is maze-like, and the lifts are unable to cope with guest volume, leading to constant waiting. Unpleasant Smells Throughout our stay, we were periodically greeted by a sewage smell. It appears the hotel attempts to mask this with diffusers in the air conditioning, but the result is not pleasant. Parking Charges This was the first 5-star hotel I’ve visited that tried to charge £25 per day for parking upon checkout—something I’d expect to be included at this level. Dining • Lunch: Poolside menus are uninspired, limited to fried food and pizzas. The website promises variety, but both pool restaurants serve the same bland options. • Dinner: We tried the Japanese restaurant once. While the food was decent, the service left a lot to be desired. After that, we opted to dine outside the hotel. Pool Areas The pool spaces are in need of renovation and fall far short of 5-star standards. Breakfast - Nice coffee Cheap sausages Rubbery eggs Overall Atmosphere The hotel seems to be trying to cater to too many types of guests at once. It might suit a lads’ holiday, but it is not family-friendly and certainly not worth the price point. At a similar cost to Oku and 7 Pines, Mondrian is nowhere near the same standard. There also seemed to be a heavy influencer presence around the hotel. Perhaps they are receiving complimentary stays in exchange for glowing reviews—but this does not reflect the reality we experienced. Conclusion While the rooms are nice, the overall experience was disappointing. We will not be returning and will stick to our usual hotels for future Ibiza visits.

The hotel makes a great first impression. The lobby and rooms are beautifully designed, and the scent in the lobby is absolutely lovely. The room layout and interior are also very well thought out. However, there is one major downside: the rooms are extremely noisy. You can hear everything happening in the hallway, which makes it very difficult to sleep and often causes you to wake up from the noise. Apart from that, the location and overall facilities are fine.

Beautiful hotel on a perfect beach. We especially loved how friendly the staff were and the view from our room. We would definitely be back!

The hotel is in a beautiful location but is short of love and in need of urgent up keep, especially the lifts which daily broke down. But our biggest issue is the service… Lots of promises with no delivery, especially in relation to house keeping where getting fresh towels or water was a constant battle. Our stay was summarised on leaving however where the hotel transport to the airport forgot to have a baby car seat with them as requested and confirmed in writing. After much complaining by myself and the driver of the transfer, who quite rightly didn’t want to take a baby in the car without a car seat, the hotel took action and looked elsewhere for car seats, but to no avail. The final communication was therefore from the concierge manager who asked me to break the law and just hold the baby tightly to go to the airport and that they were sorry for their error.
