Cruck Cottage - Gorgeous 300 Year Old Cottage Mins from North Yorkshire Moors, Steam Trains and Picturesque Pickering

Very good accomodation, sufficient seating,comfortable beds. It was like a home from home, everything we needed was there.

From booking to finishing the holiday all communication was first rate. As for the cottage, wow, what a place. Literally can't fault it, virtually everything you could think of provided, even a Cheese grater!

As noted, nothing up dislike or find negative.

Location was excellent and there was a nice welcome pack on arrival.

Parking was a little tricky as it was on road and the road was incredibly busy.

The cottage is lovely with lots of tradional features and very homely. We loved spending time as a family in comfortable surroundings. The cottage is so well situated for walking into Pickering and to The NY train station. Lovely children's park a 2 minute walk too.

Garden

Such an amazing property. Not just the location but the homely feel of the cottage and the amount of toiletries etc available to use. Also the quality of the fixtures and fittings were outstanding. The beds are also super comfy.

location was perfect for us for bangers & cash & aidensfield (goathland) & a wonderful day at Castle Howard , also Robins hood bay, ate out every night at local hotels & nightcap at the Sun across the road

Don't park under the trees ! 2 jet washes needed but small point

This is a beautiful, charming cottage full of character. It’s tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Comfy beds and a beautiful bathroom with a deep roll top bath and good shower. A lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated.

The cottage is on a main road so if you’re noise sensitive you may find this a problem. The traffic is noisy and it builds up from 5am. My husband (who has hearing difficulties) didn’t find it a problem but I had to move into the single bed at the back of the cottage. The main disappointment for me though was the courtyard was in need of some definite TLC. All of the furniture needed washing down and the courtyard sweeping. Weeds were growing up and things needed cutting back. It was a shame as the weather was lovely and we hoped to go straight outside and sit out there, I hadn’t expected to have to clean it. The interior of the house, however, was spotless!

Stayed in Pickering 6 times now and the best. Amazing quirky cottage with everything you could need and lovely welcome pack. Beds were extremely comfy, lovely bathroom and cosy garden with sun room if needed for bad weather.
