The Stroud Hotel

Very professional and attentive staff. It was a noisy part of town on a Friday night, but we slept quite well. The breakfast was good, and the room comfortable. Characterful building inside and out. The Sorrento restaurant was very good and only 100 yards from the hotel.

With mix feelings Im reviewing this hotel as people were very professional and welcoming. unfortunately the room was just too close to the units and the noise was really loud all night Also they hosted a party and the area was just down our room with no sound proofing Thank fully the music was off just before 23:30 but still not good as I wasted to get a nice night sleep. cleaniness unfortunately brlow the standards

Well presented hotel, good decor, clean, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, great value.

Excellent stay at the Stroud Hotel, the king size bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The bedroom & bathroom was spacious and warm. The hotel has been recently refurbished and has a cosy atmosphere. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed a delicious haddock & chips and a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good hotel For Stroud town centre, easy parking with railway station car park available as chargeable overflow and eask walk to other places to eat.

One night stay for work, 1st time, immaculate room, noise from bar ceased at bedtime, very limited parking

Unique ? situation. Could be cooler. I like to sleep at about 17degC

We really enjoyed our stay at The Stroud Hotel. The staff were welcoming on our arrival and we enjoyed an excellent meal and well prepared cocktails at lunchtime (I can highly recommend the risotto.) There was everything we needed except milk for the room but we were given fresh milk on request which, whilst lovely, wasn’t necessary as small cartons of UHT would have been fine for our short stay. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely return. It’s a lovely place to stay and fortunately for us, accepts well behaved dogs.

Can’t fault the property, staff and location. I didn’t give 5 stars because it doesn’t have air conditioning and the room was too hot
