The Falls - Value Rooms at Aultnagar Estate

A bit like a hostel. Out of the way and few facilities, but clean & cheap.

No food!

Excellent host and highly recommended.

If you get one of the 4 poster beds, then it's like living ike a king.. don't expect the Ritz, thunk fawlty towers!

No coffee or tea in the room but there is a kitchen.

The location is superb and the building obviously has had a grand past. The scale of the rooms downstairs tells of a different era.

The gravelly drive was hard to cycle up but otherwise no problem

Poorly maintained. Plumbing sort of just works.

The hotel allocated a room and entry instructions which was changed in a later email including a change to the check in time. The property is also very tired.

It’s just a really wild place. I can imagine it back in its day it would have really been something. I’m sure the current owners would love to have a bottomless pile of money to restore it to its former glory. I really liked it.

An impressive building and decor. Family run with friendly and helpful staff. The food was great too.
