"All was excellent, the welcome by the hosts, the exit and entrance to the hotel after hours."

Everything was perfect, the welcome the room, the location and the breakfast. Room was quite large and had all the facilities I required. The Hotel is situated right in the heart of historic Colyton.

The Old Bakehouse is a pleasure to stay at. The hosts are very welcoming, the room spotless and the breakfast first class. Sometimes the quality of a stay is really illustrated when something goes wrong; for us a problem was recognised, a solution found and carried out immediately - really top class and added to our appreciation of an excellent place to stay.

Within the constraints of an old building, everything was great.

Steve & Fiona were friendly and attentive hosts. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were plentiful: fruit juice, help yourself cereals, yoghurt and fresh berries/fruit, followed by a choice of cooked-to-order breakfasts and toast, all washed down with pots of tea or coffee. Having small appetites we only wanted 1 cooked breakfast during our 3-day stay, and that was absolutely delicious - scrambled egg & smoked salmon on toast!

A minor point: We (particularly my husband) found the shower cubicle in our room a bit smaller and more constricted than we are used. However, after the first day we adjusted to that.

Excellent property (we stayed in the cottage) - thoughtfully done throughout, very comfortable and in a great location for exploring. Highly recommend and we have already rebooked to stay again! Also the breakfast we had was delicious.

Nothing! Honestly, the property was great. Fab location, brilliant hosts and a beautiful cottage.
