Black Bull Bellingham

Excellent. No bad points at all. Would definitely stay again.

Had two nights at the Black Bull. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The staff went out of the way to make our stay pleasant. The first night we stayed in room 2. The room was clean and comfortable however this room had a door leading on to a conservatory. I was concerned about noise but this was not a problem. The door had opaque glass at the top and at night light from the conservatory was bright and made it difficult to sleep. The next day we were upgraded to another room and we slept much better. The staff were quick to sort out problem and I would recommend the Black Bull as good place to stay.

We had a one night stay, the room was excellent, friendly staff who could not do enough for you. We ate in the hotel for our evening meal which was really good, serious portion sizes so didn't manage a dessert, very good menu choice. Lovely garden are to the rear and a light and airy conservatory where we had a hearty breakfast which was everything you could want. Shame we only had one night to stay so we will definitely return.

Just what you would expect from a village pub. Good atmosphere, lovely staff, excellent food in the restaurant & a good wine selection. The only problem was finding it. The address on line doesn't actually list the village & the postcode didn't help our GPS. Lucky there are friendly people around to help with directions.

Our first trip away as a family couldn't have gone more smoothly. Very accommodating staff, friendly and spotless family room which was huge!

This hotel is immaculate. Freshly renovated over the past two years and what a great job they have done. It has a great small and quaint feel about it, with a lovely small bar area (complete with fireplace and Windsor lounges), to enjoy a drink or two before dinner. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the family room which had a small 'lounge' area, large bathroom and 2 very comfortable double beds. We enjoyed a hearty dinner, in the old style dining area and excellent freshly cooked breakfast (in the bright garden outlook conservatory), with cereals, youghurts, white & brown toast, croissants all on offer whilst our full brekky was cooked. The following evening, we went around the corner to try dinner, but not a patch on our previous meal, hosting or atmosphere! Well done and thank you so much for a relaxing stay in magnificent countryside!

Excellent accommodation, tasty well presented meals, relaxing ambience and high quality decor allied with good personal service - You can see the care and thought which has gone into the recent refurbishment. All in all, an enjoyable stay at a reasonable tariff.
