Parrotel Lagoon Waterpark Resort

Excellent hotel, don't believe what you read about negative reviews, that probably just people spitting their dummy. Staff can not do enough for you, I think I must hav went and got 2 drinks myself, the rest of the time they were at my sunbed before I even had a chance to get another. Holiday reps are very active with holiday makers, by far the best rep was little Ruby, very friends and always willing to help, and no one is left excluded. This is an ideal place for people going as a couple of a family. Would highly recommend.

Amazing hotel, great workers really friendly and helpful, good facilities like cold pool for when it gets hot and good BBQ chicken.

Please avoid this hotel at all costs! Upon arrival we was taken to our room which was not clean. No towels provided and no hot water. We complained about the hot water and towels. The hot water never got sorted even after complaining a number of times. We went for 10 days and I had a Luke warm shower on the 8th day after complaining a number of times. We got towels but 2 to share between a family of 5. The food was awful. Barely any change in dishes and made us all very ill. I have been back home for a few days we are all still suffering with stomach pain. I believe the food hygiene was none existent. I also witnessed bar staff re using dirty cups and just swilling them out with tap water. Not good! The swimming pool and water slides were great. As well as the life guards, very attentive with the children. That’s probably the only good thing I can say. How this hotel has 5 stars is beyond me.

Had the most amazing time in this beautiful country with our family of 7 All staff members are very welcoming and respectful highly recommend to all families Done quite a lot of excursions and again all staff members was super helpful at any time The resort is amazing and so beautiful Rooms are nice and clean and have a housekeeper that is brilliant coming round everyday checking if we need anything Also very good with checking in and checking out no problems.

Wow what can I say, this place is amazing. First time in Egypt and I can honestly say it was the best holiday I've ever had! The people in this hotel absolutely make it, I'm sorry I can't name everyone (you're all amazing!) but special shout out to Ahmed in the English restaurant, what a legend of a man! He seemed the most genuine, kind, caring person and im happy to say we have stayed in touch. Always happy and smiling, fantastic English, great interaction with everybody, my little boy loved playing tricks on him and having the favour returned, made his day. 😊 He would see us coming and have our drinks ready for us and kept them topped up throughout our time in the restaurant. From the cleaners to the top the restaurant staff were always friendly, polite, welcoming, always greeted you with a smile, a handshake, a hello. Another shout out to the big man! Wish I'd got your name 🤦‍♀️ what a lovely friendly guy 😊. Besho at the pool bar, man did he make me sweat just looking at him 🥵 running around that pool all day long in that heat but yet still always smiling, laughing and joking. The guys upstairs on the bar where the evening entertainment is were hard to keep up with haha our next round would be infront of us before we had a chance to finish the last one! Excellent customer service and always happy and smiling, same with the guys on the lobby bar, we would sit by the fountain and we're always kept topped up. The animation team are fantastic, always on hand to keep you smiling, laughing, joking. Again how they do it in that heat all day long is beyond me, endless amounts of energy! Plenty of activities to keep you entertained day or night always something to do and always something different. We are still in touch with a few of them too 😊. The lifeguards are amazing, always on hand to help with anything, no silly scramble for a sunbed they will have one ready for you whenever you want one and will also move it into the shade for you if your in the pool/gone for lunch etc, lovely touch very thoughtful. To the housekeeping guy who would make a different towel animal everyday (I wish I'd got his name) thank-you, my son absolutely loved coming back to the room everyday to see what different animal we had, my 16yr old quite enjoyed them too! She's tried to recreate a few haha. Honestly cannot fault anyone the staff absolutely make this place I wish I could name everyone your all fabulous! Holidays for our family don't come easy and you all made it such an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons 🥰. I'm sure we will be back again at some point. To the management; All your staff are fantastic i really do hope you treat them well, with staff like that you will definitely have people coming back they deserve all the praise in the world they work so hard and always with a big smile on their faces, I would be happy to have any one of them working for me. I would also like to add for other travellers, we found from talking to fellow English on our travels that were staying in other hotels that staff in those hotels would also go above and beyond for you but would be constantly asking for and expecting tips in return. One family we spoke to had forked out over £100 in tips in just 3 days!. The guys in this hotel never once asked us for a tip and we didn't tip anyone until the end of our hol but yet we still received the same level of service throughout our two week stay and made some fantastic friends who we have stayed in touch with. There is some room for improvement however, nothing against the staff but a few things could be implemented to make things a little easier for everyone. I would recommend a proper queueing system for the shuttle services, whether it be for the beach, the waterpark etc, other people would push and shove to ensure their spot and we found ourselves left standing waiting for the next one. This would be my only criticism of the staff for not making sure there was a queueing system, especially when they see you were the first ones there. This also applies to the waterpark, queueing up for the rings for the slides. Fortunately the lifeguard on duty would see my children waiting patiently for a ring whilst others pushed infront and he would take a ring and pass them it, well spotted lifeguard! However a proper queue system would help with this. Thankfully this didn't happen too often as there was usually enough rings to go around 😊. If you made it to the end of this review fair play lol and what are you waiting for book yourself a stay already you will not be disappointed, most memorable two weeks and some fantastic friends.
