HM Alma de Bayahibe - Adults Only - All Inclusive

They should improve the waiting time... I arrived at 1:45pm and they didn't give me the room until 5:42pm... They kept me there without anyone informing me why the delay... In fact, I had to make an international call to find out why... Now my phone company charged me $18.00 for the 33 minutes I was on hold... It wasn't fair to leave me there for so long... AJP

It was a beautiful place. Very relaxing and all the staff were friendly and ready to help.

Absolutely nothing to do! Room was big and nice but smelled like sewer the whole time we were there! Maids were horrible and never restocked the fridge. Bartenders didn’t know how to make any drinks and was out of bar vodka and wouldn’t allow us to have premium vodka. Ran out of mojitos (can’t imagine how that could happen) and food was horrible! Not for USA people if you don’t speak Spanish - very few couples from USA there! Oh, there were also children here and it’s supposed to be adults only! Expedia needs to stop promoting this resort!!!

The stay here was horrible from day 1. Staff did not provide clean linen for bedroom , no towels.

People nice and the rooms are clean

First I would like to say everyone has their own standards, expectations, and opinions. Would pleases one may not please another. The view on the waterfront of the resort is breathtaking. The salt water pools overlooking the ocean are stunning. The room we stayed in was not recently renovated, lighting was terrible, and hard to control the air conditioning. Food at the buffet was mediocre, the food truck was terrible having food overcooked far too many times. Dining at the Dominican and Italian restaurants were very good. I did not visit the Japanese restaurant as that is not included in the all inclusive package!!! Alcohol was cheap and only the more elite guest could avail of finer drinks. I do not speak Spanish and most of the staff do not speak or understand English which hindered communication

We enjoyed our 1st stay in Bayahibe at his resort. The property was beautiful and the saltwater pools by the ocean was absolutely breathtaking. Food was okay. I have several allergies to food so my choices were limited. Today was our last day and we finally saw a sigh that said we coupd have talked with the chefs about allergies and food. I will know next time.

Couldn’t recommend this property enough! While it’s a bit smaller and doesn’t have as many activities as some larger all-inclusives, the staff truly made the experience exceptional. I was initially skeptical about the lack of a sandy beach on the resort, but honestly, I didn’t miss it at all. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and overall it was such a lovely stay. I would absolutely come back again!

Didn’t like the fact that the showers didn’t have workable shower heads. Bed was too hard. Staff was great. Food and drinks were great. It wasn’t a completely bad experience but it was all that great either.
