Sonder Market Hall

This hotel is in the same building as a night club so don’t expect to get a good nights sleep. I never submit reviews but this experience was so bad I wanted to warn people about this. The music was so loud we had to move the mattress into the common space area and sleep with the sound machine on full blast. We notified Sonder about this and they told us all they could do was charge us more money to move our room. Terrible customer service.

After a terrible mishap where my initial room was not cleaned and had dirty sheets and leftover food and containers strewn throughout from last guest the staff bent over backwards to accommodate me and had me relocated and given an upgrade. The staff jess and Ariel were exceptional and helped avoid a terrible outcome on my last night in Chicago (from Australia), crisis averted!!!

See above, but luckily excellent staff prevailed. Being relocated to a different neighbourhood meant I couldn't explore the restaurants and bars I had hoped to visit.

The fact that they don’t allow you to cancel two days after you make your booking over 45 days in advance

It was comfortable and felt like hotel/apartment living. Communication with Sonders was easy and see less. They where responsive when concerns and questions needed to be answered. They went above and beyond to help when needed. Only downside is when young adults/ kids caused the fire alarm to go off at 4 in the morning the day of my departure. Even that was handled well by the Sonders team. Highly recommend and would stay with them again.

Terrific bed : so comfortable. Good kitchenette. Only 3 stops from the loop on the green line. Green line goes directly to the stop for the Frank Lloyd Wright House. Only 1 block from Ashland L- line stop. Lovely park opposite.

A bit of a walk to the nearest convenience store. Of course being in central Chicago might be better but this was great value.

It’s a great location and only 4 stops away from downtown. Walking distance from great restaurants and a nice park out the front.

It was fantastic but if I am really critical then the gym could have more accessories for the cable machine and a mat for exercising on the floor.

I thought it was very good, convenient location, all the amenities we needed.

It was very noisy at night with the club next door - I had to use earplugs.

Great location. Walkable to several great bars and restaurants. Quiet at night. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I didn’t use it but was thrilled to see a washer in unit. 10/10 would recommend.

The location is ok. It is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute cab from the West Loop action. I also had a few interactions with the customer service team and though not always helpful, they were kind and tried their best.

The key code for my room didn't work and, since no one is on site, it took a while for the key code to be reset by a manager who I spoke with on the phone. App wasn't helpful. Pounding nightclub in the building. Train tracks a couple of blocks away. Stuffy air in room; dead flies on the window sill. Scuffed walls.

They didn’t have a clean room for me when I showed at 8 pm. They then sent me to a room that was occupied and finally said at 10 pm there is no room. Also with their “Marriott update the mobile app doesn’t work unless you book through Marriott…
