Alma San Juan, Puerto Rico, Autograph Collection

This is a lovely, well appointed hotel. There was clearly a lot of thought put into little touches. Everything from under bed lights that come on briefly to help navigate in the dark, to well placed hooks for your towel next to the shower in the bathroom. The staff are all exceptionally responsive and kind. The upstairs restaurant had excellent food and a wonderful view, and amazing staff as well. This place so exceeded my expectations and was the highlight of our stay in Old San Juan.

La ubicación formidable, a unos pasos del castillo de San Cristobal y al lado de Caficultura, un lugar formidable para desayunar. La calle de la fortaleza está super cerca y hay varios restaurantes cercas.

Cuando llegamos, nos asignaron una habitación en el piso 3, y no se que sucedía que se filtraba el o los sonidos de las puertas 🚪 de otras habitaciones, las personas que pasaban por el pasillo, etc...y era demasiado incómodo. Esos ruidos incluso cuando estábamos desempacando las maletas ya que recién habíamos llegado. Se lo dijimos a la recepción y KRISTAL, UNA CHICA EXCELENTE Y DEMASIADO AMIGABLE (LA misma que nos hizo el proceso de check-in), nos comprendió y nos cambió de una vez a otra habitación en el piso 6. Waoo....cambio radical...silenciosa, y nada de ruidos. Descansamos muy bien las noches venideras. Pero Kristal, fue clave, muy gentil.....excelente persona.

Room, food and drinks were amazing!

Was highly disappointed in the staff at the front door. A taxi was ordered for us to drive us 3 blocks to the cruise terminal. Possibly a $10 ride. We watched the taxi driver hand the bell hop cash. We were taken and at the cruise port the taxi driver demanded $75. We paid around $30 for a taxi from the airport to the hotel two days earlier. This was our second stay at this hotel and sadly will be our last. Break our trust and we are done.

Remarkable location in Old San Juan. Hotel newly renovated and well kept. Staff were unbelievably friendly, warm and responsive. Room was spacious and very clean.

No breakfast - we LOVED the convenient location which couldn't have been better.

No exterior windows in the room. We talked at length with people at the desk about ordering us a taxi to get us to the cruise ship at the end of our stay. The ship was less than 10 minutes away. I tried to book a transfer on line, but they would have had to drive from the airport to the hotel and they suggested we have the hospital book a cab for us. The receptionist said it would cost us about $15. and she called a cab. When the cab arrived, the driver came in and slipped the woman cash. I asked hjm how much it would be and he mumbled something and put our bags in the trunk. I asked him again and he said, "Don't speak English". I got in the car with my friend and I asked again the cost - no answer and then we had arrived and he said, 'CASH $65.00". It was outrageous and clearly to both of us that this was well orchestrated and had been done many times before as thye "tip" given to the receptionist was seamlessly passed. At 84 yrs old and a professional photographer who travels all over the world constantly, there isn''t much that slips my eyes or mind!

The location in Old San Juan was phenomenal! Easy walking to great restaurants and attractions. Hotel is newly renovated with great amenities. The staff were exceptionally helpful and responsive. Amazing stay!
