Velvet Apartments - 10 Park Square East

I stayed at this apartment last year and was extremely happy with my experience—the apartment was perfect, and the customer service was excellent. I decided to return this year, expecting the same quality, but unfortunately, my stay was a complete nightmare. I think the money has gotten to their heads and they just don’t care anymore. First off, they are now deceiving. The pictures on the website clearly showed the apartment had a hot tub, which was a major reason I booked again, but when I arrived, there was no hot tub. I had booked the exact same apartment for the same number of people as last year, and there was no explanation or apology for the misleading images. The whole property was in a dreadful condition. Many rooms smelled of mold and something rotting, making it impossible to relax. The bed sheets were filthy, with stains everywhere, carpet, walls you name it, which is completely unacceptable. I can only imagine that they keep people’s deposits for damage but don’t actually use the money to rectify issues. I brought this up to the staff, but they were completely indifferent, offering no apology. They merely said it would be raised with management, but nothing was done, and management never responded. If you're taller than 5’8", don’t even think about booking. The top room is incredibly cramped, and you risk bumping your head every time you stand up. To make matters worse, they tried to lie to me about refunding my deposit. They claimed it had been paid back, and when I asked for proof, no one could provide it. After calling them daily and lodging complaints, they finally refunded me after days of back-and-forth only yesterday baring in mind I stayed there from 21st till 22nd February. This place is a scam. The service is awful, the property is filthy, and they don’t care about their customers. I strongly advise you not to book here!

Had great potential.

I still no not have my deposit back. The radiator fell off the wall while i was in the property you can also clearly see in the picture that the supply lines from the wall have not been completed properly. Called the agent the same morning to reports this. They said they would review this and get back to me. I have heard nothing back and they have kept my deposit. In addition the element through the property were either damaged or unfinished. Pictures should show some of the problems. The property was advertised and charged as a property with a Balcony. The balcony had been left like a unfinished building site. Window in the main bedroom would not open due to a broken metal fixing. Carpet was lifting in placed. Flooring was lifting through our the property.

Nothing to do with the apartments, but very noisy bin collection at 5.00am!!
