Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman by IHG

We booked as a group for a number of birthday celebrations and i have to say the whole experience was amazing. Everyone we dealt with in planning and booking excursions before we came and also once we were here in resort was just off the charts wonderful. The hotel is new, incredible rooms, wonderful pools (including one for kids) and a very fun beach club (Bonny Moon) which is only 2 mins walk from hotel or they will take you down and back in a golf cart. When I needed some flexibility on dates due to the US Government shutdown they also obliged. There text concierge also replies within 2 mins without fail. I wish all hotels were like this. Shout out to Wrisha, MJ, Rebecca, Chanze and many others who made the experience go so well!!

The hotel is criminal. They sneak a $65 a night resort fee on your bill when you check out. This is criminal fraud. Nowhere is this charge disclosed to you beforehand. I will never return and I am filing a police report.

I truly had a wonderful time at Indigo, we'll be back! The food was very good, I ordered oatmeal that was presented beautifully and dinner at Catalina and PomPom were also great.

Big Mac and his staff at the Indigo were exceptionally kind to our family during what turned out to be a really scary time. We were visiting for a vacation to celebrate our kiddos’ birthdays in July 2025. We have status with IHG and had requested to be upgraded. Big Mac honored our request, placing us in a two queen, one bedroom suite. My kiddos were super excited, as were we. Upon arrival, the room had a light-up neon Happy Birthday sign, a thoughtful card, and some beautiful desserts for the kiddos. We were impressed. The room was lovely, large, clean, and very comfortable. Unfortunately, shortly after arrival, my 11-year-old fell ill. She was vomiting and feeling awful. My husband spoke to Big Mac about her illness at one point and urgent care recommendations at another. Long story short, my 11-year-old daughter ended up needing an emergency appendectomy in Grand Cayman. Needless to say, this was scary and completely unexpected. I stayed with my daughter at the hospital after her surgery. The surgery took place on my son’s actual 9th birthday. The following day or the day after (it all blends together, as it was such a stressful time), my daughter and I were finally able to head back to the hotel. Big Mac had a wheelchair waiting for her and allowed us to use it as needed. They even wheeled it up the day before we were leaving so that she didn’t have to walk too far. He checked in with my husband periodically to see how our kiddo was doing. He thoughtfully sent her up a beautiful fruit tray. As uncomfortable and sore as she was, that small gesture made her feel incredibly special. She was beaming from ear to ear. I asked about possibly buying a pillow for her, as she would be flying home in discomfort and would be laying across two seats. He personally provided one for her. Just fantastic hospitality. While this was not the fun trip we had planned, the kindness and genuine care we received from Big Mac and the entire Indigo staff made such a difference. I have never had any hotel staff in any position provide service at this level. You could tell that he personally cared about our kiddos’ wellbeing. This wasn’t just him doing a job. This was him being genuinely empathetic to our child and to us. We’re now planning a “do-over” birthday trip for July 2026, and despite everything that happened, my daughter (and the rest of us) can’t wait to return. Big Mac is an absolute gem, and we’ll always remember how he treated our family during one of the hardest times we’ve had. Thank you to Big Mac and the entire Hotel Indigo team for your exceptional hospitality, your warmth, and for just being so awesome. We appreciate you so much. See you in July.

Had an amazing experience. Clean pool and easy access to beach. Staff was nice esp Anthony server Catalina and Newton at the pool

The property is fine but my frequent stays are made enjoyable by the excellent service throughout the property with several exceptional team members . I must mention Newton at the pool who though constantly busy made me feel like I was the only guest in his care and Romy in the Catalina restaurant whose enthusiasm and professionalism was unmatched, her sincerity in ensuring a positive experience for her guests is a very rare thing anywhere in the world.

What a great experience. We traveled to the indigo for our 6 year wedding anniversary and all I can say is this hotel and team went above and beyond to make our experience special. Big shout out to Big Mac for providing us an upgraded room facing the ocean. Also I would like to acknowledge Willie, newton and Michael at the bata bar, the whole Catalina morning team especially Nico!! He remember our name and seating arrangements every morning. The front office Rebecca, Clara and Angelina for their excellent service. Definitely a memorable experience and hope to visit again.

The property is absolutely gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The same goes for the rooms. We stayed in a one-bedroom 2 beds room and had plenty of space to relax. The shower and toilet are separated, which was very convenient. We enjoyed breakfast at Catalina several mornings; the food was always fresh and . Pom Pom had a great ambiance with beautiful views. The pool is spacious, beautifully designed, with plenty of seating . The staff were incredible — friendly and attentive Cayman Islands are very expensive, especially since there is a big difference with out Canadian dollar. It’s definitely not a budget destination. That said, food and drink prices are high but the experience is worth it.
