Royal Islander Resort La Plage

Well-maintained rooms, pool and grounds although showing some signs of age. Primarily time-share condo units. Great location next to Maho beach where the planes coming in low overhead. Good sand beach. Very helpful staff.

Stayed here 2 years on a row. Great location and big rooms but need updating. It’s like an apartment. Maho market across the street and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Pool and hot tub are great. If you rent a car you can pack in the garage across the street.

We enjoyed having access to both pool and ocean for swimming. There were lots of loungers and shade from both trees and umbrellas. Staff were very kind, helpful and accommodating - we were travelling with a baby and they allowed early check in.

It’s in a very busy area with both street noise and constant airport noise. We spent a week in lovely quiet Orient Bay prior to checking in for one night and the noise made it hard to relax.

The staff at the facility was extremely helpful and friendly! Ms. Jenel at the reception desk was a pleasure to speak with each day. Her presence alone is causing me to think about returning to Royal Islander more than any other facility!

My only disappointment was that there was no sharing of facilities usage between La Plage & Le Terrasse.

I've been going to the Royal Islander Laplage for over 35 years. This last stay was tricky as we had 2 other couples joining us and there were a lot of moving parts room wise. Without Jenel C's help at the front desk I would've had a rotten vacation! Thank you again my friend (and Nina)! See you in August. Jim S

This has been our 15th time staying here. On this trip my daughter left her expensive diamond earrings on the bathroom counter when we left. When we got to Anguilla she was very upset. I went to email the resort and had already received an email from them that they were turned in by Housekeeping (along with my son's shirt). The resort is always immaculate. They have been doing it the same way for over 40 years and the members/guests love it. That is why it has stood the test of time! If that means "dated" then we are okay with that. Thanks to the Staff for their hospitality and honestly. Much appreciated!

The person at check-in was unfriendly and unhelpful. We did not get the room we paid for. There are no people or carts available to help with luggage. The drinks were good and the bartender actually had a personality. Service at the restaurant was very slow and the food was mediocre. The room was very dated. There was no coffee available in the room or on the resort before the restaurant opened at 8:00. I highly recommend you avoid this pathetic resort.
