B3 Rickardos Holiday Lets

The chalet had everything we needed for the one nights stay and was clean and at a great price. There was a pub and cinema a few minutes walk away.

There were only two things which got my attention, although they would not of been the fault of the owners as they seemed polite and accommodating when I needed to contact them. Upon arrival, there were several cigarette ends on the floor right outside the door ( unsure how long they may of been there for ) and the dishwasher was left full of pots, from possibly the previous occupier.

I had a terrible experience with the owners of this property and another property D5 I was moved over to the same evening when I arrived I called up the owners for a further nights stay as had only booked one night as it was all I could book at time through bookings.com and they suggested I moved over the way to another chalet which hadn’t been checked beforehand so I was asked to take the bed linen from B3 to D5 chalet which I had to pay extra for also a damages deposit I had to pay of £100 and in changing over I noticed I couldn’t see any complimentary tea and coffee candy so I headed back to B3 chalet to get some for breakfast on Saturday morning I also noticed there was a stagnant smell in the fridge of which I mentioned to the owner that evening and I was advised the cleaner would take a look at after I left on the Sunday. I then receive a message on the Monday from the owner accusing me of taking the tea and coffee caddy and there were no issues with the mouldy smell from the fridge as there had been a curtain left in in the fridge door how I don’t know as I had to move the curtain to get out of the chalet so totally impossible in it being left in the fridge door. I was also accused of moving the fridge freezer to access the plugs behind. why I really don’t know I would want to move a fridge freezer and leave a curtain in the fridge which made it smell in the two days I was there and also take a tea and coffee caddy from the property I had no use for. I have tried repeatedly to contact the owners and left messages on their answer phone and have had no response from them whatsoever over a week later when a full refund should of been made to me for no damages just a mention that the fridge had a smell in it and no tea and coffee caddy supplied also they mentioned they was going to deduct it from my deposit which hasn’t been refunded yet over a week later. These people should be reported immediately for trading under false pretences.

Do not stay at this property takes £100 deposit and then ignores you. I have called and text many a time and completely ignores you. Look at reviews on trip advisor review not book.com this property is renowned for taking people’s money.

Good location, free parking right outside which is helpful. Self check in given code for key safe outside which was easy and same for check out. The room was very small which was expected but fine for a night. I am not sure how long you could have stayed there with not a lot of room.

Our main issue was the deposit process. We had to pay upfront and were charged extra for not wanting to send via bank transfer, it then took 3 weeks and chasing nearly every day to get this refunded after leaving. It is a shame as this really left a sour note to our trip. You are charged for electric which is not shown on the listing and also extra if you want bedding! It was £7 to borrow bedding so we brought our own. The bed was quite comfortable but the pillows were so thin they might as well not have been there.

Location is pretty good, 10 mins walk to the sea.

Gentle reminder dogs aren’t allowed on furniture, dogs only? How dog is different to any other pets?

Wasn't what we were expecting. Paid extra for linen but had to make our own beds. Messaged about key code and got it when we arrived. Row of sheds really. Looked ok inside but can hear everything next door and sofa bed was had broken springs, stunk of wet dog, arms were black! Also felt the bars through the 2 mattresses and it caved in the middle. Got a message saying deposit will take 48 hours and it took alot longer. Not my cup of tea. Bedroom and bathroom was lovely. Used 7 pounds electric in 12 hours too seems expensive.
