Dornoch Station

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Dornoch Station. We a warm festive atmosphere and a delightful room upgrade. The staff went out of there to make me and my boyfriend and our two dogs feel very welcome :) The beach is amazing and just a short walk over the golf course, ideal for long walks with dogs. It was our second stay and we will be back for sure.

Great location and calming sea views towards golf links; very comfortable and cosy bed; great breakfast and breakfast room decor; very friendly staff.

It was a pity that on arrival the waste basket in the bathroom contained some rubbish and that a handtowel and hand soap had been used. A cleaning oversight reported and quickly remedied with a full apology. The very nicely decorated room would have benefited from a comfortable chair or two from which to take in the great sea views. Accepted that this was a room for escaping and chilling out, but not suitable for any kind of laptop work.

Everything was excellent – beautiful location, very comfortable and clean rooms, great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. The property is peaceful, stylish and perfectly maintained, making the stay truly relaxing.

There was nothing to dislike – everything met or exceeded expectations.

We had dinner and lunch at the Dornoch Station Hotel on a few occasions and have very much enjoyed each and every bite. The hotel had recently been renovated with very tasteful period decor. We decided that it would be a lovely venue for our December wedding. Our main point of contact was with Stephen who was absolutely amazing in helping us with the booking and making us feel at ease. We were assured that our wedding would go according to plan - and it did. His attention to detail, as well as that of the staff, made it a wonderful experience for us and all of our guests. Lee, the chef, prepared a beautiful, well presented wedding breakfast and canapés, and the dietary requirements of our guests were well accommodated. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, which made for some lovely photographs. Our suite was beautiful and spacious. The rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable and the sea view was a lovely bonus. We highly recommend the Dornoch Station Hotel as a beautiful venue with very helpful and highly professional staff.
