Dornoch Station

We had dinner and lunch at the Dornoch Station Hotel on a few occasions and have very much enjoyed each and every bite. The hotel had recently been renovated with very tasteful period decor. We decided that it would be a lovely venue for our December wedding. Our main point of contact was with Stephen who was absolutely amazing in helping us with the booking and making us feel at ease. We were assured that our wedding would go according to plan - and it did. His attention to detail, as well as that of the staff, made it a wonderful experience for us and all of our guests. Lee, the chef, prepared a beautiful, well presented wedding breakfast and canapés, and the dietary requirements of our guests were well accommodated. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, which made for some lovely photographs. Our suite was beautiful and spacious. The rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable and the sea view was a lovely bonus. We highly recommend the Dornoch Station Hotel as a beautiful venue with very helpful and highly professional staff.

Location is very good, breakfast and breakfast staff very good.

Room needs attention, toilet cistern overflow running all the time - had to be adjusted every flush. The radiator noise level appalling when increasing heat level.

Beautiful Room and view across golf course to beach - we got an upgrade so don’t know what original room would have been.

The old fire screens remain around stairwell landings which is a bit of a shame.

Breakfast was excellent with more of a choice than one could manage. All food taken was very good and tasty and nice and hot. Staff were extremely friendly and most helpful.

Beautifully decorated and looked after hotel. Staff were excellent, can’t fault them. Very friendly and helpful.
