Loved the decor, the food, drinks & and the bar staff were 10/10!

Check-in sehr unprofessionell Gebuchtes Zimmer war nicht vorhanden. Keiner ist zuständig. Stundenlanges Warten auf ein Zimmer. Dann Zimmer der tieferen Kategorie gegeben. Nach Reklamation wenigstens upgrade auf ein Zimmer, das ich aber nicht gebucht hätte.

I loved it all

The hotel has a wonderful front porch which was nice to sit on and watch the sun go down and enjoy a drink. We had one bright spot with Ava in the restaurant who was extremely nice, helpful and provided us great service.

The service was very much below expectations. There was no one to meet us as we arrived, the front desk had no one there. The staff finally came out after a few and was not friendly or helpful. There was no one to help bring in our luggage. We eat dinner on site and the food was good but the server was rude and not very friendly. The facility was not at the level expected from Marine and Lawn, this place was not even close to the Rusacks level. Rooms had no air conditioning, front fence was falling over and general overall external appearance was disappointing.

Breakfast options were few and lack of quality. You should go have breakfast at Dornoch Castle, as it is much better. The staff not all that friendly.

Breakfast was excellent and wait staff went out of their way to make guests comfortable.

Bar meal was not fresh & the salad was off.

Best time away over Hogmanay we have had. Stephen and his team in the restaurant and bar were exceptional. The food at the Gala dinner was superb as was the whole experience and the piper topped it. Hotel was lovely and welcoming with fantastic decorations and spotlessly clean. A big shout out to housekeeping. Couldn’t have asked for more.
