Dornoch Station

This hotel was so beautiful. A classic Scottish experience. The breakfast was brilliant with so much choice and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Will definitely be back!

We had a very lovely stay here. Elegantly refurbished old hotel, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, good food, nice drinks, and a view to the sea. Dornoch town which is walkable is very pretty with a cathedral and a distillery. The golf course and the beach are only a few minutes walk from the hotel . A lovely asset to the Highlands. We would stay again.

Very clean , warm ,comfortable . Lovely design and furnishings . I especially liked all the individual sitting areas /cosy reading spots where you could sit . Location and views are stunning even on a misty day.

This is a wonderful hotel, steeped in the wonderful interior decor it was built with. We ate lunch and found the food to be of an exeptional quality and standard. The staff are so very warm and welcoming. It is a must visit, not just to eat but to experience how buildings were built

A group of 8 of us travelled to Dornoch for a long weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday. During that weekend we booked into the last sitting of Sunday lunch in the Golden Gorse restaurant at 2.30pm. It was a very quiet day in Dornoch and when we went to the hotel we entered a beautiful reception and were directed in to the restaurant where there were only 2 other people in there. The staff were attentive and very professional and looked after us so well. The food we were served was far beyond my expectations. The starters we all had were amazing, the smoked mackerel salad was fantastic, the mushroom pate was gorgeous and the mussels portion was huge. The roast lamb was succulent and very tasty and those who had the salmon were very happy. All in all the quality of the food was top notch and for £28.50 for 2 courses was unbelievable value for money. We loved it so much we came back the following evening for a meal in the bar and the food was just as good, the Cullen Skink was lovely as was the the fish and chips. All meals that evening were just as good. To top it all we played snooker and had a great laugh I can highly recommend eating here, great food and good value for money

Breakfast mediocre selection Hot food at buffet - cold. ALTHOUGH courteous, staff at Receptio seemed illinformed at times.and we came away without answers to our queries.
