Sfuff is making noise from 6am!!! You ll not be able to slepp property. One day Owner arranged wedding of his brother in hostel common area, it was very loud till late night, his guests were shouting. when they left drunk sfuff continued to have fun and shout till late night! Guests were complaining, owners didn't do anything.

Amazing location close to shopping district yet far enough from the main street to avoid noises. Very friendly reception staff (I arrived at 8am after an early flight and they let me check-in earlier than advertised). They have a dedicated booths for guide services and they gave some useful advice on my Annapurna circuit trek

Breakfast options were not really clear to me as restaurant had separate menu.

Staff is very kind and helpful, and the property is very clean. Location is great.

The cleaning staff did a great job, but unfortunately this place isn't suitable for people who want a quiet environment.

The facilities look decent, but the basics aren't there. The beds are extremely narrow — roughly 70–80cm. The noise is unmanaged from the first hour to the last. Staff were talking loudly near the sleeping area as early as 6–7am. Music played from 9am through after 10pm. At 11pm, Staff and guests were still playing foosball in the common area with shouting and banging. There is no buffer between the social space and the sleeping area. And the biggest source of noise actually comes from the accommodation itself; the music they play isn't meant to relax people, but rather is a jumbled mess of pop songs, rock music, and whatever else they're playing, all according to their own mood. They never control the volume. — and apparently no awareness that one is needed. Various forms of noise. — which makes a well sleep difficult regardless of how tired you are. What this hostel seems to miss is a fundamental reality of international accommodation: guests may need to sleep at any hour of the day. People arrive on red-eye flights, struggle with jet lag, or simply keep different schedules. A hostel serving international travelers should treat every hour as a potential sleep hour for someone — not just the conventional "quiet hours" after midnight. I raised the noise issue directly with the team. They responded politely, but nothing changed. This place has charm and friendly staff. But if the job of accommodation is to give guests a place to sleep, it isn't doing that job. Sleep is not a bonus feature. It is the entire point of accommodation. This hostel failed at that. When the most basic function of a place to sleep goes unmet, a low score is simply the honest reflection of that.

I absolutely loved this place! I stayed here for 2 months last winter and it felt great to see everyone again this time. The staff are really kind and hardworking. Alobar has such amazing energy that it felt easy to be there and make friends with others. It’s a social hostel but not too social that it was noisy or anything like that. It is In a really good area of Thamel. The restaurant serves good food at a good price. Plenty of areas to chill. Clean and plenty of bathrooms for the amount of bed there are.
