The Island 4 br (9th Floor)

My family lives in Canada and I have been dreaming about staying here for years...if we ever made it to Myrtle Beach. I am always looking for accommodations to accommodate my large family. This resort was perfect for us because none of our 'kids' had to share a bed. Our children are now age 17, 18, 20 and 22 and after driving for 18 hours straight to get here, we needed space to rejuvenate before heading to Florida. The Oceanfront 3-Bedroom Corner Suite was PERFECT for us. The 2 girls and the 2 boys each had a bedroom with 2 double beds, a bathroom and a view of the ocean. Both bedrooms were pretty much identical so no one had to negotiate who got the better room. And my husband and I had our bedroom at the other end of the condo with a nice size Jetted Tub, separate shower and balcony access. My only complaint...which wasn't THAT bad...was that our Master Bedroom didn't have as nice of a view because of a roof that was partially blocking our view to the ocean. Room 715 was one floor too low. If we would have had a higher unit the view would have been spectacular from every room. But no worries! We really had nothing to complain about. If we would have been staying longer, we would have been disappointed that the lazy river was closed for renovations...but we were headed to a private villa near Orlando with our own private pool...so we didn't feel the need to use the pool here. Check-in staff were excellent. They got us into our room a few hours before official check-in time - which was very much appreciated. They called us to let us know when our unit was ready so that we didn't have to hang around the lobby. The location is peacefully perfect. It is within walking distance to a few stores and restaurants and located on a gorgeous stretch of beach...away from the hustle and bustle of the busy beach area. We walked the beach in both directions - enjoying the view and collecting shells. Sadly, the ocean is too cold to swim in at the end of January...even for us Canadians...but we knew this in advance...so the beach experience far exceeded our expectations. Just an overall gorgeous property on a beautiful beach. I'm glad that we finally got to experience it!

I loved that we had a great oceanfront balcony. However, the room was extremely outdated! You have to rent DVDs if you want to watch a movie because there are limited channels and no apps. I booked it without knowing that. Also, I was looking forward to the indoor pool since it’s February, only to find out it was out of service when I arrived. That was pretty disappointing. We made the best of our stay but will not be returning or recommending. Let me mention, I’m not hard to please.

WE HAD A FANTANSTIC STAY AT THE ISLAND VISTA RESORT. IT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! WE WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER. IT WAS ONLY FOR 2 NIGHTS. WE WILL BE STAYING MUCH LONGER NEXT TIME.

I really wnjoyed the stay here. I wouldnt want to atay anywhere else after staying here.

Amazing place to stay and amazing water pressure

My husband and I just stayed there for the last 9 days. And we always love the hotel. It's very nice. We've stayed there many times. Pauline, that works at the front desk, is awesome. We were there this time for our 25th wedding anniversary. And she knew that when we checked in and she surprised us with fixing up our room and decorating the bed and giving us some chocolate covered strawberries and some really nice sparkling grape juice because we do not drink alcohol. Thank you so much, Pauline. You're fantastic! The only bad thing that we experienced this time, was every night some of our neighbors in the hotel were smoking pot and we could smell it even with the door shut. And security came up to our room once to look and see if they could figure it out. That would be our only negative comment.

Loved our stay! Room was beautiful and spacious. The facilities were gorgeous.

Staff was friendly and professional. Very nice, clean, quiet two bed, two bath condo (recent new showers) with balcony overlooking the ocean (Room 807). Amenities were very nice. Pools and hot tubs were clean with frequent maintenance. Dining area staff was great and food was above average. Fireworks down the beach made New Year's Eve even better. I would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends and family.
