BETTER CONDITIONS CAN BE FOUND IN A HOMELESS SHELTER AND NO ONE SHOULD EVER BOOK THIS PLACE — SERIOUSLY, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM IT AS POSSIBLE. In my experience, this apartment was an absolute disaster on every level. It was so freezing that stepping outside actually felt warmer. There was zero heating, and the living conditions were downright shocking. The filth was unbearable — you practically needed protective gear just to cross the floor. At the entrance, there was a revolting mess, including stains that looked like feces or blood on a board. Rats were running around the staircase, there was no internet, no phone signal, and half of the items inside didn’t work. Many things promised in the listing simply didn’t exist. There wasn’t even a wardrobe — the spot where one should have been was just raw concrete covered in dirt, with a random pile of books about the female orgasm dumped in the middle. Based on my stay, this place wasn’t just bad — it felt downright unsafe and completely unfit for anyone. I strongly warn others not to even consider booking it.

This stay in Edinburgh was an absolute nightmare and completely ruined what was meant to be our Christmas holiday. The flat had no heating and no hot water for the whole four days we stayed there. It was absolutely freezing inside. We were travelling with a 4 month old baby and a young Lad, and the cold was unbearable. Our infant became ill with flu during the stay because of these conditions. To try and keep the children warm, we had to put the whole family into one room. I stayed in the living room, fully dressed in layers of clothes, just so the children could have whatever warmth was possible. Despite messaging the host many times, nothing was done. No one came, nothing was fixed, and no solution was offered during the entire stay. We were also promised a cot for the baby, which was never provided. On top of that, there was no WiFi in the flat, which we were not told about before arriving. Another major issue was that the flat was on the fourth floor with no lift, only stairs. This was never mentioned in advance. Carrying luggage, a trolley, and managing children up 4 flights of stairs was exhausting and extremely stressful. This experience was hell, especially during Christmas with young children. The lack of basic facilities, the cold, the poor communication, and the undisclosed access issues made this one of the worst stays we have ever had. This property should not be advertised as suitable for families and cannot be recommended.

Do not stay here and this should be removed from Booking.com No heating, no hot water, no internet, mild everywhere and freezing , no customer service and no response to any of the dozen messages we sent !! Criminal and a complete rip off and blatant disregard for how we felt !!

My stay here was really disappointing and I can only give it one star. The room was freezing and despite sending my number as asked I couldn’t get any response from the host at all. The place wasn’t clean, with stains on the sofa bed, thick grime around the window seals and a dirty entrance that didn’t feel welcoming. The sink was blocked and the TV didn’t work, which just added to the frustration. I tried reaching out several times and even Booking.com couldn’t get a reply from them. Booking did give me a partial refund and offered 15 percent compensation but the whole experience caused a lot of stress, especially for my disabled father who was very cold during the night. I have photos of everything and honestly would advise others to avoid staying here
