2 Bedroom Chalet SB113, Sandown Bay, Isle of Wight

Chalet was changed to 35 not 13 better position

Not liking tv about the size of a laptop also bedroom doublebed room furniture too big for room

We liked how peaceful and well-located the chalet was — just a short walk from the beach yet away from the crowds. It was clean, cosy, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay, with everything we needed for self-catering. The surroundings were quiet, the beds comfortable, and it felt like a perfect base to explore the Isle of Wight.

There was no Wi-Fi, and a few basic items like bin bags and salt were missing, though everything else we needed was provided. It’s only a small detail, but having those basics would make things a bit more convenient on arrival. The chalet is a bit compact, so storage space is limited, especially for longer stays. Also, the nearby path to the beach is quite steep — fine for most people, but something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues.

Washing machines, cooking facilities.

Small tv, no broadband, uncomfortable bed. Tired settee. No invalid handle in the shower to get in and out with. Toilet seat moves.

Like the site and basic facilities. This was our second stay here this year.Few problems at beginning of stay Friday with plug stuck in sink in bathroom. Came with plug on Saturday left pliers to get plug out each time. Said they come back Monday. Ten days later no second visit to repair. Reported guttering banging day and night because bracket came off. No one came guttering eventually fell off. Informed Isle of White vacations twice

Not good communication regarding the repairs

Very good location. Very neat and well maintained. Good facilities

Weak wifi, Wasn't clear where to park. Only half a roll of toilet paper at location. Would have brought our own if we knew we had to.

Tiniest of details, as it is clear that it's self catering - but I think it does need to be explicitly noted that towels for the shower are not provided (it was the only thing we hadn't accounted for) and that there is little to no phone service and no WiFi provided. Definitely not things that are deal breakers by any means, but would be nice to be aware :-) Only other minor thing was the 10am check out. Was a bit of a mad scramble in the morning to get everything sorted - and knowing that the next check in is 4pm giving 6 hours for the clean team to sort felt a bit OTT when the expectation was that the property was vacuumed and fully tidied. Again - I'm perfectly happy to do that, but an extra hour (11am) would have made all the difference! Thanks again though. Loved the unit
