12 Pear Tree House

Our family of four (two adults and two children) spent four wonderful nights here, and our experience was absolutely perfect! **The Property:** The amenities in the house are modern, impeccably maintained, and spotlessly clean. We were particularly impressed by how thoughtfully everything was stocked. It's clear the host has put a lot of care into anticipating guests' needs, providing everything from kitchen essentials to bathroom supplies. It was incredibly thoughtful and made our stay so smooth and comfortable. **Location:** The location is simply superb. Everything we wanted to see and do in York was within easy walking distance, which was a huge plus for us as a family. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It truly felt like a "home away from home." Thank you to the host for such a wonderful and memorable experience. We would not hesitate to book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting York.

The location was excellent and we loved seeing people walking along 'The Ancient City Wall' from the patio area. Really well equipped and thank you for the welcome treats:) We cycled out to the site of the original Terry's Chocolate Factory - now a fancy residential development, but has a cafe/bar...The Old Liquor Store (where they stored the alcohol that went in the chocolates)....it's amazing to see!

Wifi code not legible in the house manual so after many attempts we searched for the modem!

Beautiful house, very peaceful location yet so convenient for visiting the attractions in York city.

La casa es espectacular, muy bonita y cómoda. Tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días, con la cocina muy completa. La ubicación es genial porque está muy cerca de la catedral y de los shambles, pero en una zona muy tranquila y silenciosa. Las vistas desde la terraza y las habitaciones son preciosas,con la muralla justo encima.

De la casa me gustó todo, quizás diría que las camas individuales son un poco pequeñas. Por otro lado, la hora de check-in es algo tarde, y no hay posibilidad de dejar el equipaje antes, por lo que hay que ir cargados con todo por la ciudad o buscar una tienda de locker.

The standard of the property and the location were brilliant. We had one small issue and this was resolved very promptly by the owners with no fuss.

Everything, it was a perfect stay. Can you tell me where you purchased your pillows in the first floor bedroom? They were brilliant.

Two very very minor things that may help in the future: It said in the pre-stay info that there was hairdryers - we could only find one. We were directed to put take the rubbish out before departing, we weren't sure where to put it. We found an outdoor bin with a liner in so put the rubbish there but wasn't sure if that is what you wanted.

In a great central position. Very comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished.

It would be helpful to have somewhere to hang coats downstairs and perhaps in the cupboard just a side the main sitting area.
