12 Pear Tree House

Proximity to all the major attractions - the most notable being York Minster. Stunning decor and beautifully kitted out for a comfortable stay. Great to meet the owner who was very helpful and informative about accessing City sights.

Everything was high spec. and therefore nothing not to like!

Location was central to York. The Minster, Shambles etc. were all within 10 minutes walk. There plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk and the Walls of the city were at the bottom of the garden. Parking spaces were directly outside the property in a private courtyard. The property was exceptionally well appointed, with comprehensive instructions for the appliances and was very clean and well presented. Basic supplies, washing up liquid, dishwasher pods, cloths etc., were in good supply.

Disposing of rubbish was the only issue. We couldn't find any external bins. The neighbours left bags of rubbish at the entrance to the court and so we left ours with them. A slight negative is that foxes, dogs or cats attacked the bags overnight and so refuse collectors had a clean up exercise to do the next morning. Not something the owners have a particular control over. Our small issue was that there was then no place to leave the final bits of rubbish we had when we cleared the house on our departure. The house needs some sort of external rubbish bin.

Superb modern, immaculate townhouse. So close to Monk bar and the Minster. Excellent furnishings. Well fitted kitchen and bathrooms, luxurious infact! Nice and warm and cosy. Everything you would need is provided. Great attention to detail which is appreciated. The cleanest accomodation we have ever stayed in! Shout out to the cleaning team and the owner for ensuring such high standards!

Location, cleanliness, space, clear welcome pack and very quiet considering how close it is to central York.

A bit stuffy in rooms at night.

Everything, lovely and cosy, quiet and clean. Only a few mins walking distance of shambles.

Location and the house were superb Top drawer facilities Met the owners so nice and accommodating Left a welcome pack . House was spotless like brand new. Parking for 2 cars Walking distance to all major attractions. So good.

There was only 1 issue... Heating The boiler didn't come on, and I had to reset it ( it went through a test loop and eventually started) The next day the boiler didn't come on to the programme. . So, from there on in, I controlled it manually, and it worked fine. I didn't report it as we were out a lot, and we were only there for 2 days It was a minor inconvenience and would not stop me from highly recommending this accommodation
