"Cosy cottage in a great location"

9.0

Cosy, clean & comfortable cottage, with good parking. Located close to 2 great pubs & a nice walk into Bakewell. Check-in was easy & good communication from hosts

One bathroom for 6 people was a struggle, if they could accommodate a downstairs toilet under the stairs that would be perfect, however not a deal breaker & would book again. Outside garden furniture could do with an upgrade & would suggest smaller dining furniture in the kitchen to allow more room to manoeuvre.

The lovely decor and the location, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and very spacious

Some of the walls were abit shabby, looked like a few mouldy patches and some paint on scating boards could do with a fresh paint, and couldn't pull down the blind in the kitchen. The garden was at the front but could have done with a little tody up, and new table and chairs in garden could do with being renewed

"Really lovely location but the cottage needs some rethinking and maintenance work."

6.0

The location was excellent for exploring the Peak District. The bedrooms and lounge were very comfortable and we had plenty of towels.

The kitchen is very small and the four chairs were too large for the table, making it impossible to seat three adults, a 4 year-old and a 19 months old in a high chair, at the same time. One of the bedrooms had a low window sill and our toddler climbed onto it and managed to open the window which was not locked. This could have been disastrous. There was a large damp section on the ceiling of one of the other bedrooms. Having only the one toilet in the bathroom was very inconvenient.

"Delightful Derbyshire"

8.0

It was spacious and clean. All the extras like tea coffee milk salt pepper oil biscuits made it feel like home. It is situated in a beautiful village. Many walks could be started from here so we hardly used our car. I would highly recommend it and hope to come back again.

The tight entrance to parking, although you could park on the road. Would be nice to provide body wash and shampoo like many other properties. But the good points far outway them
