The home was beautifully designed and comfortable. Cleanliness was excellent and location is fab. The little hamper of breakfast items was a lovely addition.

Unfortunately the TV broke on the 2nd day of our 4 night stay over Christmas 24th-28th December. We reported this to the owner Jamie immediately. We attempted to reset the TV but to no avail. It was very disappointing to have no TV over Christmas. We felt like the owner blamed us for breaking the TV and sent the cleaner to come check. We totally appreciated the time of year and the difficulty of replacing a tv at short notice something which we never asked for. We were completely shocked that at no point over the next 24 hours and several correspondence with Jamie did we receive an apology for the inconvenience of having no TV. In fact we had to highlight to the owner that an apology and some sense of regret would've been welcome to acknowledge that our time at the house had not met expectations. Whilst we received a generic apology after asking for one. This is not how anyone should respond when things go wrong. Guests shouldn't have to ask for any kind of apology it shouldve been the first thing. Jamie was more concerned that the TV had broken within a year of purchase rather than us as guests. It showed a complete lack of respect for us. Whilst the house is lovely I wouldn't stay here again even with £100 off a future booking. How you deal with unexpected issues goes a long way. This fell way short of acceptable. The fact that Jamie made no contact for the remainder of our stay shows just how little care you had for us as your paying customers. I would not recommend this place to stay.

Nothing

The cottage is comfortable and very well appointed for getting around Rye. The very generous welcome pack was lovely to arrive to and saved us doing any food shopping. Everything has been thought through to make a stay in the cottage a lovely experience........the layout, the lighting, the very well equipped kitchen. It is warm and cosy.

I suspect it might be noisy in the summer because of the road outside. It was November when we stayed so we kept the windows closed which kept the noise out. The parking could be an issue when busy.....the space allocated to No 11 is tight and we had to negotiate round an enormous range rover to get into it.....and caught the wheel arch on the wall.
