Ezxcellent premises, spoilt by dismal booking.com service.

It was Booking.com's extremely poor location description which caused us to look around for 45 minutes before finding the location. This was only because we found the owner of another hotel who could tell us where to find it. This is not a new experience we have had with booking.com. It is just laziness to decribe a hotel location in such a poor manner.

Clean and tidy.

The pictures of the room were different on line as the view for our room was of the see but we got the carpark view 😞😞 not good.. No coffee machine in the room or coffee!! But after advising the management this was rectified..

Amazing location and awesome rooms and services. The staff was very clear and exhaustive in all the communications before our arrival. Very much recommended choice!

Location was ideal for our early morning ferry to Orkney the next morning. No breakfast.

Way, way too hot (even with all windows open) and no way to reduce the heat.

Good location on the seafront at J O’ Groats.

Very poor directions so ended up having to telephone the concierge number. No kitchen or cafe facilities and coffee shops on site opened late at weekends. Broken/missing blind on window meant woken very early by the light (from other reviews it has been missing from last summer). No fridge (but space for one so obviously removed), and no UHT milk provided with the tea/coffee. Very Spartan. No chair in the room and minimal/short hanging space over the kettle area.
