The staff responded quickly to issues and we were given a new room without having to ask.

11 emails prior to joining including a request for a review of our stay before we had left home. Over complicated arrival system Unable to access our room due to locked adjoining door Dormer window blind broken No teaspoons Very sterile decor Towell rail was on full blast so bathroom was boiling. Very expensive for a no frills hotel Would not stay there again.

The location was amazing, right on the front of John O'Groats next to the sign. Spacious room and bathroom. Good sized bed.

Firstly, the bathroom floor was dirty, did not appear to have been cleaned between customers. Stains next to the bathroom bin and hairs over the floor. The bed linen and towels however were clearly fresh and clean. Secondly, there were no clear directions on the booking email and as a result this place is impossible to find without clear direction. The postcode takes you to the main road between John O'Groats and Thurso which is actually not where the property is located. Please also be aware that the name of the booking is the name of the room and not of the building, thus further complicating matters. You actually need to head into the main harbour of John O'Groats and head for the multicoloured buildings on the front and the building is called the Inn. Very clear instructions of how to access the room but poor instructions for where the building is located. We had to ring the host for directions who was very helpful.
