Cosy Rural Barn Conversion 5 Min Drive To Pin Mill 1 BR + sofa bed

It was Cody & homely very clean there was everything there that you might need for a short stay or longer & I didn’t encounter any problems with the property The location was perfect set in the peaceful rural countryside but with a local one stop shop just 7 minutes walk away

Location was nice. Peaceful. We had an owl visit in the garden. Thankfully we were participating in the county show and only spent a few hours to sleep there. Lovely views driving to and from the property

The bathroom was dirty, an old flannel was left in the shower. The shower head limescale-y, all On the tatty side. The bedroom was clean but the bedding wasn't on correctly or with care and it smelt like wet dog/ damp. The bed creaked with every move you made and felt like it would fall apart. The sofa bed for my child was really uncomfortable. The 'fitted' bed sheet provided didn't even fit, way too small.

The cottage was lovely + location was perfect. We were very comfortable

Nothing really, it was clean + well equipped. The owners were on the phone if we needed them.

Self contained, peaceful, could steam my own tv to the main tv

Bed was hard, kitchen drawer nearly fell out in my hand, oven old and tired

The log burner's nice, although you'll rapidly run out of fuel. The Premier in Shotley sells logs and kindling etc. I was also pleased with the response when I expressed my unhappiness (see below). Came back to me quickly and offered a satisfactory partial refund straight away.

The big issue was the bathroom. Evidence of damp in a number of places, but the shower curtain was the worst, mold all over it. To the point the shower was rendered useless, I'm not standing naked in there! I managed to make other showering arrangements, but it was far from ideal. The bed was quite possibly the most uncomfortable thing I've ever tried to sleep on, and I've slept in some very strange places! Cobwebs, dust and dead flies. Clearly the place hadn't been cleaned in an age, never mind a between rentals clean. Everything needed cleaning down before it got used. That was really disappointing. Heating. The place is tiny, so doesn't take long to warm up. But the heater in the kitchen/dining room is a storage heater, so having it turned on before someone's due in would help. Those things don't give you instant heat.

could of done with a vacuum around the place before we arrived as serious spider webs!!!

All facilities were as described. Would visit again.
