Ochenta Y Dos Bed & Breakfast & Spa

We had a wonderful stay at Ochenta y Dos! Dave and Pat are wonderful hosts. We especially liked the common areas and the breakfast together with the other guests. The breakfast itself was exceptional - every day a new one :) Dave and Pat always took their time to join the guests which isn‘t something you can take for granted! We talked about „god and the world“ and we always got recommendations. We felt very welcome and we left with all our hearts. The whole BnB is planned with care and detail. The pool is a plus after a long day of strolling around town. The bathroom is something else :) Good restaurants are nearby. With an cheap Uber you can be everywhere in a couple of minutes. On street parking avaible if you have a rental car. I would also recommend the Hacienda Tour Dave offers. It is a fascinating journey through history and if other guest join also a wonderful joined experience :) Thank you, Dave and Pat, for your hospitality!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Ochenta Y Dos Bed & Breakfast & Spa und haben uns von Anfang an rundum wohlgefühlt. Dave und Patrick sind unglaublich freundliche, offene und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Herzblut sie das B&B führen. Besonders toll fanden wir, dass Dave uns jederzeit gerne Tipps zur Umgebung und zu möglichen Ausflügen gegeben hat – das hat unseren Aufenthalt noch einmal deutlich bereichert. Ein absolutes Highlight sind auch die drei Hunde der beiden – sie sind einfach herzig und machen die Atmosphäre noch persönlicher und gemütlicher. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und definitiv besser als in vielen Hotels. Auch die Ausstattung der Zimmer sowie die gesamte Anlage sind sehr gepflegt, stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Clean, fragrant, beautiful pool, excellent breakfast.

Everywhere you could see the fine detail and small touches that make this place amazing to visit. It was so relaxing to sit outside by the beautiful pool. Breakfast every day was delicious and perfectly presented. Dave and Pat are perfect hosts.

Can’t think of a thing.

The place was lovely, as were the hosts. Breakfasts were really good - and beautifully served. We had the whole place to ourselves, so admittedly we were very spoiled. They have a fantastic Cenotes-fed pool in a courtyard, and the rooms overlook the pool. Lying on a float, surrounded by lush foliage and birds singing, was close to Nirvana. The rooms were perfect - both aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. The shower was amazing. I could have stayed in the shower all day. The location was super convenient - we took Ubers after walking around the first day (it was too hot to walk for us mountain people from Colorado!). The Ubers were ridiculously inexpensive - it almost was embarrassing, because when I tipped the usual 20% it usually came to about 40 cents. I stated writing in custom tips after that! Our excursions, hosting by Mr. World Travel Guide Dave, were wonderful. We did a tour of the Haciendas and really got a feel for the history of beautiful Merida. We also went to Celestun and took a boat ride into the biosphere. We were a little early in the season but still saw a lot of wildlife, including flamingos, wood storks, frigates and even a crocodile. Just a great stay. We had a few outstanding dinners. I can’t recommend Yerba Santa Merida enough. Every bite was a taste explosion, and it was in a beautiful mansion to boot. Great service. We also had a lovely dinner at Gran Luminiere. Both highly recommended! Sad to leave. On our way down to Akumal now for some beach and snorkeling time. Thanks to our lovely hosts, Patrick and Dave!

Breakfast was delicious- eggs with spinach, peppers and onions, hashbrowns, fresh fruit with Greek yogurt and honey, and homemade banana bread that was to die for! The breakfast was served outside near the pool with a beautiful, tropical view

Ochienta y Dos is a beautiful B&B with exceptional hosts. The property is in a quiet neighborhood but quite accessible to the Historic district by foot, uber, or bus. Beautiful, comfortable accommodations and Dave and Pat go beyond the usual hosting responsibilities to ensure that their guests' needs are attended to. Highly recommend!

An incredibly relaxing and special 6 night stay at Ochenta Y Dos. Dave & Patrick were truly wonderful hosts - helped us navigate the city and recommend itineraries in the wider region. And we very much enjoyed sharing our respective travel experiences! Accommodation is spacious, clean and quiet with a lovely pool area and wider communal areas for relaxing. And fantastic breakfasts that set us up for the day (thank you so much!). Also fully recommend the onsite 90 minute massage, we feel like new people! We thoroughly enjoyed our time, very sad to leave but we do so with fond memories and new found friendships. We wish Dave and Patrick every continuing success, good health and happiness at Ochenta Y Dos. Fully recommend this as the place to stay when visiting Merida - you won't be disappointed.
