Queen's Gardens No 18

The apartment itself was very clean. The furniture was lovely. The size and the fact it was beautifully painted. It was warm with a good shower room. The location was good. The communication regarding booking and arrival was good.

The entrance hall was very dirty, had to step over rubbish and post. The apartment had been beautifully painted but there were no pictures on the walls - these were still in the cupboard waiting to be hung so it felt bare and not at all homely. Felt like we were staying in an unfinished decorating project. There were no curtains in the lounge, just a rail. The TV didn't work as the batteries in the aerial were flat. Found this out when we rushed back to see the second half of the rugby. We had to buy some new ones. The kitchen supplies were old and basic - a trip to IKEA for new pots and pans etc would be good. For the price paid we would expect a microwave and a coffee machine and some chopping boards at least. We were provided with 2 dish washer tablets for a 4 day stay which was rather tight as the dishwasher was half size and needed to be used every day. Why not leave a box of tablets under the sink? There were no basics that we could find - like salt and pepper! The door to the balcony was incredibly difficult to open - I wouldn't have rated my chances in a fire! This apartment has the potential to be fabulous with a small amount of time to hang the pictures and a small expenditure on fitting out the kitchen better and some thoughts about detail and making the guests feel special. For the cost we paid in February why not leave a welcome pack of basics - or just a pint of milk?

Could have more stock in kitchen perhaps a microwave
