"Cute house, well placed for a few days away"

8.0

The house is cute, and had what we needed for our short stay. The owners have been lovely, very helpful when we needed it. The beach was so close and the kids loved that.

In the winter it would be very cosy - on a hot summer night it is a very warm house, and we were there when UK temperatures were very hot. Tall people need to remember that old houses have low ceilings and beams.

Great location and very welcoming. To be considered carefully in case of people with mobility problems or small children, because the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow. A bathroom with shower would still be needed because just one for the theoretical 6 beds is not enough, since the other bathroom is on the ground floor and without a shower.

"Loved the quirky atmosphere but it was"

6.0

The location was very central and the property atmospheric with age.

Being near everything include the rear of a fish and chip shop where the noisy extraction fan blew fumes of fat oil into the property between 9:45 am until 21:30. This made everything inside and in the courtyard smell of chip fat which is hard to forget. The property would also be unbearably hot in warm weather.

"Great place for a catch up with friends/family"

It’s quaintness and location

Huge AGA made it too hot to sit inside but on the plus side I bet it’s lovely in the winter

We liked the location in the centre of the old town and sea front. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The cottage was very quirky and unique. Bedrooms comfortable. Bathroom spacious and toiletries provided. Would have been good value for 4+ people.

The street was very narrow the cottage is directly opposite a restaurant's kitchen which had door open with extractor fan above which was on whenever restaurant was open. The stairs in cottage were very narrow and steep more so than we predicted from the description. The kitchen was not well equipped to cook no large pans no large bowls for salad etc There was no iron or hairdryer though they did offer to bring them when informed they were missing No welcome pack provided though there was tea and coffee. The TV is tiny .

"Lovely!"

10.0

Loved the quirky cottage, great location for everything and so much fun to stay somewhere so magical. We loved the Aga, it was super cosy & warm. The garden was a bonus and the whole place was decorated in a very cool way - my son loved the robot bedroom things. We loved it, can't wait to return. Really good to be able to take our little dog too

The beds were kind of hard, but that's personal preference!
