"A hidden gem"

A beautiful quaint home with beautiful views of the hills and pretty garden . Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed , tea ,coffee and kettle a nice touch. Great location for Whitby , Goathland and Ruslip. Toiletries , hairdryer very useful too. Lovely friendly warm welcome from Anne .

If you are over 6 foot tall or large build you will find this bedroom a bit of a squeeze. Double not king size bed and ensuite is very narrow. It suited us though perfectly and would definitely stay there again

Dining room was front facing with good views. Very clean. Lots of brochures of places to visit. Food was excellent good qualitand good portion sizes provided.

"Convenient location welcoming host"

Locality, good access to N.Y. Moors and other places of interest. Rooms perhaps a little on the small side and a little dated but standard of cleanliness good. Comfortable bed, nice linens, towels etc., Proprietor very welcoming and displayed genuine interest in guests. Breakfast was very good and offers good variety of choice.

Other than rooms being a little small and slightly dated there was nothing to dislike or complain about

"Warm and friendly welcome to quiet B&B near Whitby!"

Really warm and friendly welcome from Anne into her home. Room on the small side but fine for just having a quiet place to sleep close to Whitby! Nice touches were a soft and a firm pillow and an extra flat sheet and blanket which we did need as it was too hot for a proper duvet! Beautiful garden, peace and quiet as no kids and no pets and the breakfasts were incredibly delicious!

An enclosed corner shower with a shower head of a waterfall style which made it tricky to get in and out without getting water all over the bathroom floor and tricky to wash my hair as no option to change the pressure and also no shelf or ledge to put anything. All added up to not a great shower.

Such a wonderful warm welcome from Anne with information about local public transport. Lots of helpful tips on places to visit. Lovely bathroom with picturesque view. Very comfortable bed in room that suited my requirements. Her cooked breakfasts are to die for but also a wonderful choice of alternatives. I felt immediately at home and hope to visit again sometime soon!
