Hazelmere House

Location, spacious great for family stay. This is the second time when we have been there still outstanding. We all loved the property.

Loved the house. Plenty of room! Lovely layout and the grounds were also excellent.

Beautiful house, secluded and private, quiet. Clean, loads of space, beautiful views. Well equipped, especially the kitchen, it has everything you need. We loved it, and would stay again 100%

Location brilliant, comfortable beds, size of the property was great for 3 families, plenty of room for 3 cars.

The property wasn’t very clean, children’s room had crisps, popcorn on the floor, paper waste when we arrived. Cobwebs which had been there for a very long time up the walls, at eye level. Kitchen work tops were sticky, kitchen pans, oven trays are very old. The balcony to the master bedroom was very dirty on the roof/floor and the glass around it was green, only 2 Whicker chairs to sit on which were damaged, not very inviting. Down stairs toilet/tap was leaking onto the floor making it wet, toilet seat in main family bathroom was loose and sliding off, not great with kids.

The Space was amazing, brilliant for a big group of people , you could all be together but still have your own space. All rooms were a great size and the kitchen onto the living room was perfect . The house itself is beautiful……but needs work

Cleanliness was very poor, most of the utensils and plates etc we used we had to clean, sofas chairs etc haven’t been moved and cleaned under in a very long time, bbq unusable, very old dirty playhouse and climbing frame serving no purpose outside . The sofa in the lounge area especially needs replacing, it is old stained and that tired it is difficult to get out of and the house generally needs a lot of tlc , paint work etc. it was a shame to be let down so much on the cleanliness and tiredness of the house, because otherwise we loved the house and space . We have stayed at 2 other houses in Woolacombe and paid around the same price and these houses excelled in cleanliness and pride in the furnishings. If the house had an upgrade and overhaul in cleaning we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, but in its current state sadly we wouldn’t .

Location, size of the house and privacy

The house was not very clean, the oven disgusting (in fairness to the host they did say they would arrange a deep clean but we said not during our stay) and its just now very tired in places, we stayed when it was newly done and it was amazing but its now ready for some work and the house keeping team are not very thorough so it was dirty when we arrived, with a few small tweaks and a deep clean this could be an amazing house again.
