Very basic, dated apartment

The location was excellent for our visit

Good use of space - well designed, comfortable bed, most things you’d need provided.

Despite being a solo, middle aged traveller, you need to pay a “refundable” deposit for damages before being given the entry code to the property. I checked out on 25 June and I’m still waiting for the refund. Have had to raise a complaint via booking.com. Various reasons given include the number I was using to contact them was for emergencies and so not manned every day - how does that work? - and they don’t have my bank details. Gave my bank details several days ago - still waiting. There is clearly no established, effective procedure for refunding the deposit. Location less central than I would have liked. Loose carpet at the top of (very steep) stairs a hazard.

It was close to Queens!

It was filthy dirty. The freezer was frozen over and had random out of date food left in it. The oven was unusable because it was so dirty. The walls had holes in. The lamp in the bedroom was broken. I brushed against the wall in my jacket and it was covered in cobwebs. There wasn’t any cleaning products provided save for dish washer tablets. There wasn’t even a tea towel provided. The heating went off but instead of instructions for what to do, there’s aggressive notices everywhere. I’ve seen much better student accommodation over the last 4 years. Thankfully, I have time and date stamped pictures because four days after checking out, I’m still chasing the deposit.

Nice spacious apartment, lovely touch to have bags of crisps, tea and coffee and water in the fridge and some basic toiletries. Beds very comfy, host was responsive and communicated well. Well equipped flat

Nothing we didn’t like and would stay again. If there was anything I would say as strangers to the city it might be useful to have bus numbers to get into the city centre to save using taxis, or some extra info on all the nice bars and places for breakfast within a 2 minute walk. Guests might like to know that if they didn’t want to be going into the city centre
