Guest house "NIKA", Nukus

Comfy room, clean (shared) bath. There's a common area in the garden outside with a couple of Yurt camps.

The AC has seen better days. Takes a while to cool the room down. The location is a bit far from the center.

The staff is very helpful and speaks English very well. The room is spacious and comfortable. You could take the bus 14 to the museum around the corner or by walk in 20 minutes.

The water pressure on the second floor is sometimes a bit low.

To sleep in a yurta with an aircon was a great experience.I loved the spacious kitchen with a big table.It was a cozy guesthouse and the staff was nice

Nothing worth to mention

The room was spacious, with two beds, comfortable mattress and pillow. The room even had a sofa. There was no staff as such, but a long term resident of the Guesthouse - Ilia, was very helpful with all the queries, information and communication with the host. Nika, the daughter on whose name the Guesthouse is named, speaks English well, but she is not around during the day. However this didn't bother as Ilia was always around. The best part of the guest house was its homely and cozy feeling and large open spaces. There was a large mulberry tree in the garden, and a swing and garden chairs on which one could sit and enjoy their garden. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and tea was available most of the time. The host also organised a share taxi for me to go to Urgench which picked me up directly from the Guesthouse, saving me the hassle of going to taxi stand.

Availability of tea and coffee is pretty common in hostels in Uzbekistan. While I could manage with instant coffee sachets, having coffee and tea available all the time would have been better.

Great guesthouse/homestay. The host family is super kind and welcoming, even let me come in early when I got off the night train. You basically can't enter or leave the house without an offer to have something to eat, and the food is so good! Rooms are very comfortable, clean, and secure. Thank you to Nika and everyone!

There's only one bathroom per floor which isn't a huge problem, as there aren't that many guest rooms, but you might have to wait a few minutes during busy morning/evening times.

Great place to meet people in the kitchen or in the terrace

From the warm welcome at check-in to the immaculate and comfortable room, every detail was spot on. The staff’s attentiveness and friendliness ensured my stay was exceptional, offering great value for the price. Guest House Nika is a true gem, providing a luxurious yet homely experience. I can’t wait to return!
