39 North road Studios near QE and UOB

Affordable. The workers/hosts were really lovely and supportive, easy to deal with, attentive. Nice TV and good shower. Location was great, several Asian supermarkets including a Korean one that had everything.

The listing heavily implied a private kitchen, but this was not the case. I ended up avoiding the communal kitchen because I was too tired to navigate it and worry about cooking and cleaning all at once. The worst thing by far was how aware I was of other guests. They would cook at night, like 1am, 2am, full meals with onion, garlic, peppers etc. Somehow the cooking smells seeped into my room instantaneously, waking me up. I could pinpoint every single ingredient as it hit the pan, thats how bad it was. "Oh someone's frying onions... they've added garlic... now peppers... a tin of tomatoes..." I was on the floor above! The other thing is, there was a rickety staircase up to the second floor above my room, and it was so creaky and crackly that every step sounded like a tree trunk snapping. The person in the room above me was definitely trying to be quiet but every footstep was amplified, their wardrobe sliding door opening sounded lile someone rollerskating across my skull, I could even hear them unzipping their jeans to get undressed. Luckily I had sleep headphones to block out noise. Which is more than I can say for the smells.

No breakfast, however we did not require this.

La verdad la cama era súper incómoda, el espacio era muy reducido y la limpieza deberían de mejorarla bastante, al entrar a las instalaciones desprendía un olor poco agradable

I went to work at UoB for a week, so the location was very convenient to me. The shower was nice and the bed was comfortable. The place was warm, but felt a bit too hot sometimes. It had lots of amenities (e.g. TV, fridge) but I didn't use them.

I was expecting a studio flat, not a studio room in a shared house, but that might have been on me. My room (number 2) had a weird smell and felt somewhat humid and hot most of the time. Thus, I slept with the window slightly open for a couple of nights and got sick. The neighbors and the house itself (like crackling) were very noisy. The WiFi signal was poor but did work.

Clean and tidy. Comfortable and warm. Good location for me being right near the QE. Good communication from managers of property. Wifi worked well. TV huge! Good in room facilities including kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave.

Shower was very slow to drain. Wardrobe rather wobbly. Not a fault of the property manager but a couple evenings other residents were using common area very late (11.30ish) which disturbed my sleep as my room was right next to the common area.

Slightly shabby. The street had litter and was not that pleasant.

Location brilliant for where we needed to go.

People above us walking about still at 2:30 which is not the studios fault... Mattress was stained as I stripped the bed, but I can't complain about anything else, we got what we paid for.
