"Excellent"

8.0

The place itself was very comfortable. It is a lovely old building the kitchen and bathroom are new and well appointed. There is a good assortment of cutlery and crockery. It's in a lovely village location. It is the little details which stopped it getting a higher score. There is no shower gel in either bathroom. There is no hand wash in the kitchen and no kitchen towel. There are no non slip mats in either bathroom which to my mind are in essential safety feature. The bath in particular was very slippy. I had to put a towel in the bath as a bath mat. It would be a nice touch too if they left a bottle of water in the fridge and a pint of milk. These are the things which make the difference between good and very good or excellent.

The lack of little touches as described above which means they only score an reased 8. No shower gel no hand wash in the kitchen no kitchen towel no non slip bath mats for the bath and shower. A bottle of water and a pint if milk in the fridge would have been a welcome addition. Its the lack of these which lowers the score

"Ok"

It was comfortable though rather dark

I couldn’t reach the window blinds without climbing on the steps, which for an elderly person is not good. The worst thing was dirty unusable frying pans

"What a Find"

10.0

The position for Holy Island (a 10 min drive straight up the A1) and Berwick-Upon-Tweed for day trips by train to Edinburgh is unbeatable. If you visit Berwick, make sure to take one of the 'clock-display' cards from the very good pile of info on the windowsill. We did not come across them until we had akready visited. Mind you, parking at the older B&M, at the back, long stay car park then walking to the station, is free all day. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. Maybe a shelf in the bathroom would improve it but nit picking, really. We loved it. The café next door is a great resource although we left before 10am when they open, most days. They are closed Tues and Wed but open rest of the week.

I do wish Host and Stay would send entry details earlier. I realise they must worry about fraud but considering they take payment (albeit refundable), immediately you book, only being released codes, address etc 6 hrs before arrival makes for a tense and a tad nerve-wracking journey. It all worked out fine but I would always prefer the entry details before embarking on a holiday.

"Lovely flat and great location to explore the East Coast from."

9.0

'The Nook' (Fenwick Village Hall ground floor flat) had everything we needed for our three night stay. The flat was very clean, and well equipped. The instructions for the flat were clear and detailed, and we were provided with an online guidebook on check-in. The location was a great base to explore Lindisfarne and the East Coast attractions. There is the added bonus of a small independent cafe next door, which sells some great coffee, cakes and pastries. No complaints at all regarding the accommodation itself.

There is a neighbouring cockerel, who enjoys letting everyone know it's sunrise, every morning. Great if you're looking for an early start to the day. Maybe not so great if you're looking for a bit of a lie in!

A great space and very comfortable, light and modern.

Only thing I would say was we had a few flies in the apartment so a fly swat would be handy.

Property was lovely and very clean. In a nice location.

Cockerel woke us up at 5am each morning. Could do with a toiletries shelf in the shower. No dressing table in either bedroom.

"Spacious, bright and clean property with lovely sea views."

9.0

The overall space was a real bonus, a large living area, kitchen and spacious bedrooms with ensuite facilities. It was a really welcoming and airy place.

The outside staircase would be difficult for families with small children or anyone that was less mobile.
