Beautiful little lodge which exceeded our expectations. Every bit of the the lodge boasted good taste, period features, with modern tv and comfy sitting area. Kitchen fully equipped, would recommend stopping for supplies as only a little shop nearby. And as a bonus, we were met by an adorable little lady dog during a sit outside in the night! The hosts artwork is absolutely beautiful. The nearby brewpub was great too, good selection of food and drinks and welcoming staff. On the grounds lots of nice areas to explore, with seating areas scattered about nicely. Would be great for children. I would definitely visit this place again. The place is a credit to Karen:)

Fantastic location, great view, helpful host who left us to it. Very cosy feeling cabin. We will definitely be looking to stay again.

The sofa was a little small, understandable given the space.

Smoke alarm was going off when we arrived and the host couldn't get to us for an hour then had to have a man in to see what the problem was then an electrician later on. The next morning the man came back with new smoke alarm so we felt the experience was spoiled with all this going on although Karen done everything she could to sort it The electric hob went off half way through cooking our dinner on the second night and would not come back on also the oven door does not close properly. Karen was a lovely host but didn't have a clue when things weren't working so we stopped ringing her when things went wrong. The lodge is lovely and the views are stunning but it does need a little updating.

The lodge was very special, cosy, unique and in the most beautiful location. The verandah looks out over meadows and trees overlooked by a perfect mountain. One side of the lodge looks out over meadows up to trees beyond, the other over Karen's lovely and extensive garden. It is wonderfully tranquil. You can have the windows open and not hear a sound.
