Host & Stay - The Penthouse, Hudsons Yard House

Good central location. Nice views and nice apartment.

Not properly cleaned and no toilet roll on arrival.

It was airy, clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable and it is central to Whitby. The views are stunning and we had an extremely comfortable stay. Overall very happy and are looking to return.

It has a kitchen however doesn’t provide some basics for example salt & pepper (which we had to buy) The clock also needed a battery.

Location is great. Very central to Whitby town centre, easy to get around on foot and plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area.

The only downside I’d say about this property is the four flights of stairs up to the apartment with no access to a lift. The stairs themselves are quite steep. Not really an issue for us, but for someone who finds climbing stairs difficult for whatever reason, this might not be the best place to stay. Also, I wouldn’t say the standard of cleanliness was what I’d expect for the price. Dust on the door frames, bathroom shower glass was covered in water marks which to me indicates that it hasn’t been cleaned very thoroughly & dirt inside cutlery draw (not very hygienic when you use these to eat with) so we had to wash anything before using it.

Location good. Bright apartment. Plenty of ventilation.

The stairs were tight and to many, there was a exposed live fuse in the kitchen area, the kettle stopped working, loose main socket behind microwave, no wardrobe or cabinets, the whole place needs a make over, very tired looking needs a fresh.

Convenient and pleasant location close to everything. Excellent views from penthouse windows. Comfortable king size bed.

Cleanliness level was not up to our standard. Needed a good deep clean overall. Shower taps in bathroom were loose and difficult to use.

Property was fantastic. Views of Whitby from the property were great. Was nice a clean upon arrival and had all the amenities needed.

Stunning views, comfortable large bed, once we got the heating working very cosy

Smell when you walk in the front door up the stairs was unpleasant probably due to the fact that people will be walking though pigeon poop as they are nesting everywhere

Lovely loft apartment also had all the amenities of an apartment.

I had to pay a hidden charge a WEIVER DAMAGE of £25 which wasn't a problem if this had been stated on the page when we booked. Also the number of stairs to get to the property.
