Nagominoyado Hanagokoro - Reopening in Mar 2024

The location is remote but still can be reached by train and tram. It's very near to the cable car station, just one stop away from the owakudani. As an onsen lover I found the onsen quality is excellent and rich in mineral which is very good for body and skins. Both dinner and breakfast provided by the hotel is splendid. The staffs are very friendly and cheerful. My big thanks to Cat who looked after me all the way and the manager who arranged for my suitcase transfer after check out. Being a solo traveller and travel by public transport, my advice is to get your suitcase transfer at Hakone station. *Check the schedule of delivery time*before placing your order. It saves a lot hustle! Hopefully I'll revisit again :)

The WiFi not function very well. You have to contact the hotel for the shuttle bus but it is only available at Gora (around 3pm) not at Hakone main station.

Petit déjeuner et diner inclus mais non adaptés aux végétariens

Superbe hôtel, chambre très spacieuse, onsen/bain privé accessible 24h/24 avec une clé privative, repas traditionnel et petit déjeuner excellent.

Il y avait un problème de matelas dans le lit, avec un gros affaissement /trou qui m’a vraiment gêné pour dormir. Ce problème n’aurait pas dû exister dans un hôtel de ce niveau.

Poca flessibilità per l'orario della cena che può essere servita o alle 18 o alle 18.30, ma ne siamo venuti a conoscenza circa alle 15 dello stesso giorno dell'arrivo, quindi con scarso preavviso.

Struttura immersa nel verde, con onsen private nelle camere e ottima cena e colazione giapponese

What a hidden gem of a place. The rooms are very traditional, very spacious. The staff is extremely nice and sweet, the service was great. The private onsens are separate from the room but they are so beautiful and so unique, they are private and you can use them all night. The meals were outstanding. Dinner was delicious, 10 course meal, and breakfast was also a feast. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. It's not your typical american breakfast but it's to be expected - very local to the region. The meals were plenty big and everything about it was just perfect. To get there you can go to Gora then take a cable car or ropeway to Sonzuen and it's a 5 minute walk from Sonzuen station. There's not too many stores nearby but since they provide meals (dinner and breakfast) you won't need it!
