Nagominoyado Hanagokoro - Reopening in Mar 2024

Great staff. Beautiful location. Fantastic food and service. Gorgeous private bath.

Shame the bar wasn’t open, but room service great.

Our stay at Nagominoyado Hanagokoro was truly wonderful. The place is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and with a very peaceful atmosphere that made the experience feel special from the very beginning. The service was exceptional, and a special mention goes to our maid, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and caring throughout our stay. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and added a very personal touch to the whole experience. The food was outstanding, both dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and delicious, showcasing amazing quality ingredients and traditional flavors. The private onsen was also fantastic: relaxing, clean, and set in a beautiful environment that made it one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend Nagominoyado Hanagokoro to anyone visiting Hakone. More than just a hotel stay, it is a truly memorable Japanese experience.

Nothing bad, everything great!

The Ryokan is a perfect balance between the Old and the New. All the modern amenities are blended with old world charm. The view from the rooms is amazing. The space itself is massive at 41 sq m. The breakfast and dinner is really delicious and balanced. And of course the main event is the Private Onsen. It's a bit of a walk to your own private Onsen but once there it's super comfortable and relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen experience.

Not a complaint, but they don't have vegetarian options. My wife's a vegetarian and she could only eat 1/3rd of the things(and she is a very flexible vegetarian). Even the western breakfast in the morning is not vegetarian friendly. This is something they could really work on, especially for the price charged.
