Pheasant lodge - Balmaha 3 bed

No lights outside on the hot tub, dirty plates on the table, widows were hard to shut, could not put up the cot that was left for our baby, and no answer from the host even though they were supposed to be contactable .. faults that were mentioned in previous reviews had not been fixed! I

It was huge and exceeded our expectations the photos on the booking don’t do it justice- definitely needs updated photos and nice walls and close to amenities

Very easy to get comfortable inside was homely the rooms are big clean and tidy the hot tub was amazing the local area is so close to the property the shop people and cafe and pub all provided a nice friendly experience and the views and walks are stunning all within a short walking distance to the property the house is ideal for what I hoped to experience and good value for the cost

Everything was spot on. Host made sure we knew how to contact him if needed before arrival. Everything was explained perfectly on how to find our lodge also. The hot tub was amazing, it would be nice if adults could use it after 10pm however it's completely understandable why you can't with neighbours ect. Access to the property was stress free and easy, no receptions and forms ect just straight up to your lodge and get your keys from the box. The board games in the living room were a good touch. We also had a good view of the Loch! Towels, hair dryers, straighteners, iron, hover all provided

A on site shelter would have been ideal for smokers, but no to be expected.

Great location, central close to the loch and local pub, with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of space.

Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the accommodation did not meet the expected standards. Upon arrival, we noticed crumbs left in the kitchen area, unclean cutlery, and discarded wrappers around the lodge. In addition, the general cleanliness of the property, including the bedside tables and floors, was unsatisfactory. Given the standard we anticipated, this was disappointing. Furthermore, we were not informed that the hot tub would automatically switch off at 10 p.m. While we understand and respect the quiet zone policy, there was no prior notice indicating that the hot tub would become unusable at that time. In addition, there was no lighting provided around the hot tub area, making it difficult and potentially unsafe to enter and exit after dark.

Lovely views, Oak Tree Inn very close by for lovely food. Hot tub was great

Lots of cobwebs on ceiling. Stayed 1 night but feel overpriced for the stay and what you get.

Lovely lodge, nicely decorated and the surrounding area is beautiful. Great value for money compared to other properties we looked at that include a hot tub! We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub which was very spacious. There was plenty of so w for 5 of us and a sixth person could have fitted in. I liked that plastic champagne and wine glasses are provided so that you can still enjoy a drink in the hot tub without worrying about smashed glass.

Some of the windows don’t close including the room that is right beside the hot tub. Being able to shut the window would reduce the noise from the hot tub heaters at night.

Single bed not comfortable. Could feel springs of bed on my back.
