"Perfect mix of traditional and modern in and excellent location in kyoto"

Loved the mix of traditional Japan with a modern twist. Great location for bus, convenience store and restaurant as well as easy access to the main shopping area and temples. The whole space was clean and tidy. Staff were exceptionally and just so helpful.

"Great location, great staff, great choice if you want to have a traditional Japanese stay."

Loved how it was like staying in a traditional Japanese Machiya, they gave us Kimonos which we didn’t get a chance to put on unfortunately as we were so busy, lots of space and staff were great. Also, free ice cream!

It was very dark, and not well lit. It also wasn’t soundproof so we could hear other people and we could hear the pedestrian lights outside. Wish we had more of an outside area too, there was a “balcony” but i wouldn’t really call it that as we couldn’t even stand out there.
