Luxury 5* Heart of The City, Fabulous Views

It was fine. Last minute change to the booked location meant we were offered an alternative apartment which I really had little choice but to accept. Location was good & the property was fine

Booked an apartment with views for a reason, but apparently a maintenance issue meant it was unavailable and the replacement while fair enough had views of the apartment/office blocks opposite. Not what I paid for and felt that some kind of refund should have been offered for such a last minute change

Everything was clean, well maintained and had all amenities you would need.

Although the flat is perfect, the building is pretty grubby and a little noisy at night. Dropped a point for not having my original booking available on the day but the exchange was good and slightly bigger. Did feel it was still quite a lot of money for a self catering flat for two nights but it’s a popular city and was right in the centre.

The bed was comfortable

Firstly I got a notification that a damage deposit of GBP 250 is required. This has to be processed through a separate site where you have to get id approval by submitting your personal information and taking pictures of your identity documents. The site is buggy and kept crashing. It doesn't allow you to upload docs just take picture which wasn't possible for me. Then I got an "upgrade" to a apartment in a different location away from the place I specifically chose the apartment for. I was taking part in an event early in the morning in Titanic Area. I am disappointed with my stay overall, it was not what I had booked and the the whole identity approval process made me uncomfortable sharing my personal information on a separate site.

Process to collect key and the entry system was complex so it would have been helpful to have the instructions 24 hours in advance, not at last moment when juggling luggage/mobile phone in the street. You could release pin codes at last moment. Entry system did not work with mobile provided so had to tailgate or call security guard. Sofa bed extension not attached to sofa so rolls away when deployed - needs attention. Fabulous views but only if you are into Royal Mail centre architecture - limited 10 degree view of city centre.

Some damaged parts in the unit, curtains, hot water, lights. These were fixed asap after reporting them.

The apartment and rooms were well sized.

Our recent 3 night stay (23-25 April 2024) at what was purported to be a five-star luxury apartment in Belfast left much to be desired. The initial setback came when we were informed mere hours before check-in that our original booking location was unavailable (apparently the unit above had flooded the apartment we had booked). We were offered an alternative site 1.7km away, far from conveniences like shops, hotels, and the Titanic attractions we had planned to visit. Also, there was no on-site parking unlike the original apartment booked. As a result we were advised that there was a public car park nearby that we could use and the parking fee would be refunded. Upon arrival at the alternative apartment, we encountered further frustrations. The location of the lockbox for the key was obscure, necessitating assistance to locate it. Inside, we discovered several issues: non-functioning bedroom lights, an uncleaned main toilet, and mattresses that were uncomfortably soft and lacking in quality. These issues were highlighted in a text message to the host but were NOT rectified. Another concern was the pre-process of gaining access to the apartment was overly intrusive, involving an unexpected deposit procedure that demanded excessive personal information (drivers licence copy and personal photograph – selfie) and a non-disclosed fee of $20 AUD to validate myself. While there were a few positives, such as a well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms, they were overshadowed by the subpar lounge area, which was bland and outdated. Additionally, the excessive use of artificial plants throughout the apartment detracted from any semblance of luxury. Overall, our experience fell far short of the promised standards and price paid. In regard to the refund of the parking fees, totalling $40 AUD, it took 18 follow up text messages over 3 weeks to the host to finally receive a refund Consequently, we cannot recommend this property for those seeking a true luxury stay in Belfast.
