4 La Toinette

The location was excellent, just 40 meters from the beach.

The property needs some serious TLC. Front security gate was just about rusted shut. Sliding door to garden was even worse. The property has 3 bedrooms. 2 of them had a bedside lamp, the third not. None of the rooms a ceiling lights, which meant one room had no light at all. It was advertised as having an aircon and washing machine it didn't. Bathrooms are not in a good state, neither was the kitchen. We left a day early as it was not enjoyable.

Location is great. Wi-fi is free.

Communication with host was difficult. Upon arrival, the keys were not available, I had to call the host and the cleaner then brought us the keys. it is not pet friendly - no fence, but I believe they are installing fences now. Cutlery and crockery was limited, but host did bring some after 2 days. No aircon as per advertisement - only ceiling fans in bedrooms. Sliding door wheels are worn out so one really battles to open it. Unit can do with some cleaning as far as carpets, curtains and place mats are concerned. Linen was clean though. Only a very small rusted braai.

Unit 4 was fine. Beds were comfortable.

Kettle was not working... Reported to the host Cameron He said he'd bring one nothing arrived until we left. Had to buy our own toilet paper. Had to buy our own dish washing liquid. Bins were dirty... No bin bags provided. So we bought our own. 1 towel was given for 2 people to share. But we had our own towels. Cleanliness not up to standard and general items not provided.
