Modern and spacious in good location

We loved the location and the great space. Kitchen was in great shape. Bathroom was great.

Mattresses were uncomfortable. The living room carpet was quite dirty and it made us worry other parts of the house would be dirty. In fact it was all very clean but it’s not a great first impression.

Lovely victorian style. Location quiet, but still inside the city walls of York. Well equipped. We liked the walled yard.

Some internal door handles didn’t actually turn the spindle - leading to a bit of noisy slamming, especially with children.

Location so close to main city but still quiet, courtyard was perfect, welcome pack was amazing and a great touch, atmosphere & decor was lovely, cozy seating area, clean, easy to get to.

Broken can opener, dirty crockery (dish washer needs cleaning), toilet flush handle loose, paper holder loose, broken glass in cupboard wish list :another toilet would have been amazing,

We visit York every year and have noticed a decline in the quality of holiday accommodation in York over the last 20 years, perhaps because demand is so high, hosts don't feel the need to try. 8 Kyme Street puts them all to shame. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, stylish and the welcome box a lovely extra. If it's available we will make this our holiday base for the next 20 years. Cannot recommend it enough!!
