A cabin provides elbow room vs a hotel room, tranquil setting with beautiful view of sunset.

Water control in cabin 5 difficult to tune.

Die Lage am Wasser, die Terrasse zum Grillen.

Bei Wind war es recht laut durch die Blechrampe am Hausboot.

I had the pleasure of staying in cabin number four, and I must say, it was exceptionally clean. Everything appeared to be brand new. The kitchen was thoroughly stocked, and the air conditioning functioned perfectly. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. As a group of five, we found the accommodations to be entirely comfortable.

Location was very nice - a quiet end-of-street quiet tranquil waterfront spot for relaxation on the waterfront for both sunset and morning coffee. Loved it. View from the little deck at the back of the houseboat was beautiful.

"Sehr sehr schön !"

Super kuscheliges Hausboot. Zu viert etwas zu kuschelig😇. Sehr schön eingerichtet und tolle, hilfsbereite Dame am checkin

Es roch durch das modrige Seegras zum Teil extrem schlecht.

"IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE TO CONFIRM IN ADVANCE THAT YOU ARE NOT IN THEIR REVOLTING HOUSEBOAT!!!"

Nothing!

PLEASE read this if you are considering booking Aqua Lodges at 47th Street. As previous reviewers have said, you need to be very careful with this place – they know what they are doing and offer no refunds. 85% of reviews are positive. These have been written by the people who are allocated one of the 5 wooden cabins. 15% of the reviews are terrible. These (including this one!) have been written by the people who are allocated their houseboat. There is only one and they call it UNIT 1. I have attached a layout of their ‘site’ which explains this. We thought we were getting a ‘2 bedroom bunglow’ (Cabins 1-5 on the plan) as this is how they describe the accommodation in 1) the title on Booking.com, 2) the booking confirmation from Booking.com and 3) the images on Booking.com. At no point were we expecting to be in a houseboat. The houseboat is VILE. It is sat on stagnant water that stinks of raw sewage. It’s the type of smell that seeps into your skin and clothes and you can almost taste it. The property will try and fob you off with “Oh it’s just our lovely sea grass which we can do nothing about and which smells ‘a little gassy’”. Let me tell you, this is not the case. I have attached pictures of the water around the houseboat and they clearly show how putrid the water is. The houseboat is sat in a ‘dock’ which has no fresh water flowing in or out of it and it is filthy. There is literally a crust on the water. The houseboat itself is beyond basic but at least it is clean inside. The problem is, as soon as you open the sliding doors or any of the windows the smell from outside comes in so my husband, kids and I had to sit inside (truly uncomfortable) for an entire evening before packing up in the morning. There was no way we could stay for the second of our booked nights and, as their rule book clearly states, no refunds were forthcoming. So, we were ripped off nearly £500 for a one-night stay in, what can only be described as, a hovel.
