The Old School House - 6 Postland Road, Crowland

It was a great pleasure to have this beautiful and large space to ourselves.

I couldn’t get the TV to work. The instructions for the TV did not help.

Only two double beds and two singles in separate rooms

Property was good and spacious, good location

Downstairs was bit cold, need more heating

It was spacious. Bedding and towels were clean

THE LISTING IS NOT AS DESCRIBED! There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms, not 3 doubles as described. Due to this, one of the children had to sleep on the floor with sofa cushions. One bedroom is also downstairs, which is useful to know if you have small children or accessibility needs. The kitchen lacked basic equipment such as a chopping board and corkscrew. One of the table lamps in the bedroom flickered and look dangerous. The shower in the family bathroom is broken - you cannot adjust the temperature. The place was covered in cobwebs.

Door lock does not work very well - difficult to unlock and to lock when inside Dishwasher was on when we arrived and when finished we took the stuff out but it was not clean (tea cups still stained for example and glasses dirty). It felt like no dishwasher tablet had been used. So, decided to hand wash the still dirty items - but no washing up brush, cloth or sponge/scourer - had to use just fingers. Dirty meat trays (coated in fat) in the oven. Oven dirty and crumbs everywhere Dirty, damp towel in the washing machine - smelled as if it had been there a while! Overall standard of cleanliness was poor to middling Sink plug in main bathroom upstairs does not seal so had to shave in running water. Middle bedroom bedside light shade is broken Single bedroom bedside light flickers worryingly - gets worse/better when switch is touched - suspect dodgy switch Temperature control on shower in upstairs bathroom feels broken. Very hit and miss to get required temperature. One of the chairs in the kitchen has a bent and loose leg and is potentially dangerous According to the house details - we could park in the garage. We did so on arrival. But on return from evening out, two barstools had been placed at the empty garage entrance which we interpreted as “don’t park here!”. The other garage was occupied and when we returned from day out on the Saturday, both garage spaces were occupied. This was disappointing as the house details state that there is access to one garage parking space. Adjusting the thermostat to new temperature made no difference Had to turn off some radiators and open windows as rooms too warm - but then heating came on hotter to compensate. TV remote doesn’t work properly or TV has an issue - virtually impossible to get it to do what you want. 
Spent half an hour resetting TV and BBC iPlayer App.
