GBGreat house, very clean with everything you could need. Excellent location for leisurely stroll into York city centre or Bishopthorpe Road. It would also be ideal if attending York races. Would definitely recommend and if we stay in York again would like to book here.

GBLovely little house, central location and had everything we needed. Very well thought out with lots of little extras like sauces in the fridge and toiletries upstairs.
Only slight negative was the sofa wasn’t very comfortable (sorry!)
NLLovely house close to York. A well-equipped kitchen, including children plates. The house was very clean.it will take you a 30 minute walk to the city centre of York. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nothing. But a dishwasher would have been nice.
GBPositives: the house is well kept, nicely decorated and has nice touches (for example, providing coffee pods for the machine, a games cupboard). It's conveniently located distance-wise for York and its attractions. A Co-op in walking distance and some green space too. Warm, plenty of blankets if needed, plenty of towels and toiletries. Cleaning supplies for wiping down surfaces etc. Thoughtful management.
The area is noisy!! We could hear the TV next door so loudly that we couldn't hear our children calling from upstairs and, on one night, our own TV over the sound of "Friends". It was also on until late at night meaning it was difficult to get to sleep in the master bedroom. Plus a car pulling up playing really loud music at 10pm at night. There were fireworks another night. A school playground right behind. I know there's nothing the owners can do about this but it is the reality of the area, I think. Also useful to note: The boiler in the second bedroom is not enclosed so makes a lot of noise if running hot water (ie washing up in the evening - worth bearing in mind if you have light sleepers in that room). The stairs are VERY steep and narrow so not good for very young or anyone unsteady/carrying a baby. The street is narrow with cars parked on both sides so the cars all park up on the pavement so not easy for buggy users.
GBLocation is good, just a few minutes drive to city centre. Plenty of dishes and utensils. Love the welcome gift basket, especially the microwave popcorn pack. What a surprise! It’s yummy! Thank you very much.
Parking is challenging, extremely tight space. The washing machine is very dirty that I cannot use it.
